This is a typography background of my name. I wanted to try some new techniques and do more with a large piece. This is also my first typography LP. Spoiler
Made text by using Illustrator's 3D option and selecting a font. Then I exported it to Photoshop as a PSD.

I see this stuff on deviant art all the time, but I still wonder how its possible. Nice job man. I have to make a logo for some company, and I want to try using this style.
No I found a tutorial on www.good-tutorials.com and it turned out to be a nice helpful one on making text and stuff. There are ways to make 3D text on Photoshop, but it's much harder than using Illustrator for text. If you want help I'll help you.
Sweet. I'm gonna use this as my wallpaper since my name is Jasper too Nice colors and effects, but I personally don't like the blurry light on the letters 'J' and 'R'.
You can make 3D text in PS by duplicating the text layer a lot, darkening/brightening the color of the text on the layer copies, and then just dragging each layer one pixel down and one pixel right, increasing the amount moved by 1 each time.
