How did this manage to get featured and none of Slik's maps haven't? Now I'm really getting confused with this website's features.
I have a feeling that this was meant to be featured quite a while ago, one of the reasons I say this is because at the bottom it says Writeup by Vicious Vice. If Vice had wrote this up and it was posted by another Journalist it obviously means it was meant to be featured when Vice originally had made the write up for it. If anything there will be more race tracks to be featured in the future.
I'm so sick of race tracks, in my opinion they're all the same thing... I don't think they should be allowed to get featured, there's never any features anymore, and most of the few are racetracks. Not that it's a bad map, it looks amazing, it's just that I like to play Halo 3 for Slayer and Infection, not racing.
I'm gonna be honest, how the hell did this get featured when there are way better racetracks out there and especially the fact that this racetrack is very old, and o yeah to Goldman's comment, we did make that beautiful tunnel. Anyways, I'm not jealous or anything but I'm sorry, I don't think this deserved the feature. Sorry Kona. I wanna see a map like Andromeda featured and then I can say it deserved it.
I played this awhile back and had a great time. Love the smooth curves and tunnel. Definitely deserves the feature!! Right on, keep up the good work =)
Well during the time of it's release, it certainly was one of the best racemaps. During the time, it deserved a feature, hands down. But after months of neglect, after a bunch of better racetracks were released, you guys decide to feature it anyways. ... There's really not much I can say. The feature is outdated, and it's clear that better tracks now exist. You guys need to stop admiring the classics and start promoting the newer, better releases. And just to let you all know, this map has already recieved LOADS of attention via other forge sites as well as Bungie. If you guys really wanted to promote a map you should at least take in account how much attention it recieved beforehand.
We don't feature based on what other sites have done or how much attention a map has received in the past. Never have, never will. We feature what we feel deserves to be featured. Period. Also, we never have, nor never will, hold a map from being featured because there may be another map thats better out there. A map is feature worthy or it isn't. Maps are judged on their own merits, individually. Additionally, just because this track was featured does not mean that whatever track you are referring to thats better (which is mightily subjective, anyway) won't be featured as well. Again, maps are brought up on their own merits, not based on the merits of other maps. We've tried to pound that into the community's heads for quite some time now. Seems the message still gets lost in the cracks, overshadowed by whining and complaining. If you don't like the featured map, then deal with it. There wil be another one in a few days.
I am not frustrated by the fact that this was featured. I posted here to present my opinion, and nothing more. If you don't like differing opinions, then deal with it. There is nothing you can do to change them.
I agree with spect and goldman. This should of not been featured. Me, x DREAM 76 x, Spectular Ra, Goldman 010, and AnF Knight all helped on this map. Kona sent messages like once a week asking for us to give him ideas. I dont mind Kona, But i dont think it should of been featured. Its a alright map though, But not that good to be featured.
I agree as well. All the racetracks featured here all pretty much the same. All they do is make a track that looks the same as the others and then make some big Aesthetic thing. I wish you guys would Feature more things than racetracks that look idntical to the next one.
All maps in a genre have similarities to other maps in the same genre. You could say all Big Team/MLG maps are just two bases with a middle structure. All FFA maps are just ramps and halls around a central open area. You could say a lot of things, but this isn't the place for it. If only 100% unique maps were featured, there would be like five. Triton's Twist is a good racetrack. You people seem to be looking past this. Sure, there have been great tracks released recently, and they will more than likely be featured in time. Just because this track is featured, doesn't mean the others won't. Congrats to Kona and Last Chaos. The map turned out great, and I know how much time you spend on it. That tunnel still remains one of the best in all racetracks. Keep it up.
This is spam and I found it kind of rude. This has nothing to do with this map. Unless you can forge better, this comment is worthless. I would expect more from a senior member. Anyway this track is great. Nice job Kona. I liked the look of the map and the banks and tunnel were great. Nice work and I hope to see you make some new projects in the future.
really good race map i reccomend it nice banked turns verry good overall and its really smooth racing
im sick of race maps that look like a big knot, i like more traditional ones with jumps. Thats why i liked Whiplash
