Shockwave

    Shockwave is the next map on the way from me, since Ameliorate. It is a medium-sized, symmetrical map in the Skybubble of Sandbox. Check out these pics of what I have done so far.
    Please note, I still have more stuff to forge, for instance finishing up both central areas (not the very center part), finish up the bases (add more walls around them so they are a little more secure than the rest of the map), and add railings, lots of railings (fun :/, haha).

    That looks nicely forged. One thing I've noticed about the green floors is that they look bad when they have circular edges. Try adding the golden pillars on the edges as railings to give it a more complete look. One more question: Did you build the map in the air at all above the skybox "ground"/death barrier?

    Yes, it is built on the grid.
    And I'm not done with that part yet, silly. I just got too lazy to do that part :p

    Read the post, says that both central areas still need to be finished, which include that Tin Cup area and a part that I haven't even started yet. The part I haven't started will be right where those walkways that go to nothing are. All in due time, my friend.

    Looks nice and a great design.

    Having the map circular looks like it will mak it god for oddball and hill.

    The only suggestion i have is add more catwalks to the middle and add more height variations.

    On a final note dont build your future maps on the grid. Build them 3 storeys up so when a player falls of you get that NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! moment and the funny moments when they try tochuck grenades back up.

    There will be railings so they won't be falling off a whole lot, and, I feel it's a waste of time to make them wait to fall and then die, rather then just die, and respawn, and move on. Ever fallen off of Construct? It takes forever. So long that if you shoot someone and they jump off, the people falling will actually get their shields back, and then the person who shot them won't be credited with the kill as the game says it's a suicide.

    This looks like a nice, solid map so far. Good use of tin cups to provide variations in texture and some nice lines of sight.

    I'm not a huge fan of skububble maps connected mainly with thin walkways though as it is annoying to have to always be concentrating on not jumping off the edge when you are BRing.

    Well as I said I'm going to be putting railings on just about all the walkways, so do not fret about that.
    I still have about $500 at least in budget right now as well, even after adding some more stuff.

    You should definitely update with more pictures, maybe not showing off the entire map, but just to give people more of a feel for what the map's going to shape up to be. Oh and good luck with those railings. Sounds like a ***** to do. Too bad you'll probably have to budget glitch it though... I'd like to see it go through ATLAS.

    Ha well you saw my budget problems, I don't think it's worthy of Atlas anyways. Maybe the next map will be. :p

    These aren't even the pictures of the most recent version ChAoTiC! Update PL0x! It looked amazing when I saw it in forge, you're map convinced me to try making a map in the sky bubble. Although my map kinda fails at the moment, I'm glad we've got forgers like you to make up for all the fail maps.

    Well the way it is now, the map cannot be that much worse than mine, because of me hitting the budget. I'll post updated pics when in the testing post. All that's left for me now is placing objectives and spawns and such, so just hang tight.

    Where'd you get the fifth item to block the part above custom off? I think I could still break it though with a simple grenade jump.

    I took out the BRs in the the bases, they were very unnecessary for an MLG map. And I don't think you can grenade jump out, I'll try later.

    I haven't really touched this map in awhile, due to the fact that it may not be possible to finish and still have railings. I'm an going to go in and try reworking a lot of stuff in hopes that this can actually work out. So don't worry guys, the map may not be dead, ...yet.

    Same problem That Reigning Chaos (RC) ran into in making the architecht. It was an amazing map, but hit limit for budget and items. No rails everywhere but some things to stop you. People then basically posted nothing but flaws with it.

    Yeah, but I want to at least make the most rails I possibly can to make it play the best I can. Budgets sucks :(

    Chaotic... this map was never destined to be an MLG map. Please do not release it as so.
