I kinda felt like doing something different, something simple, rather than taking a shot of a Spartan or Elite ... so I chose a skull. =P I kind of like it. Let me know what you think.
Looks very original, but not very eye-catching. The skull needs to stand out more and an explosion would have been nice.
I disagree... I think explosions are very cliche and they are in sooooo many screenshots that not having an explosion makes it more unique which is good! The only thing I would change is that I would want it to be a little bit more defined (less blurry), but that's a minor detail. I really think this shot is awesome! =)
The blurriness wasn't even intentional ... ironically, the effect is caused by an explosion. I felt it worked, so I didn't tinker with it much. I'm definitely going to be trying many more things with skulls and other objects, so, as usual, a retake could definitely be in order. But yeah, I'll toy with it and see if I can tone down the blur a bit, because it is pretty blurry and somewhat undistinguished. And I agree with the explosions thing ... kind of what I meant in the OP when I said something "different."
I honestly think that this is fileshare worthy, because its soo unique and the more I look at it the more I like it! But I think you should do a remake first just to make it better overall.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna have to do a retake later today. I need something new for my File Share anyways, I guess this might as well be it. =P Hey! It's not emo. It's poetic. At least, I call it poetic to make myself feel that it's not emo.
