After teaching a few of our new forgers how to do the basics I decided to create a group whose sole purpose was to teach new Forgers the basics, and So, the FTA was born. At the moment I am looking for Experienced forgers who can act as our teachers. Before you can become one of our teachers, you must first pass our selection criteria. 1. You must Be able to Interlock and Geolock effectively 2. You must be able to create successful Competative or Casual maps 3. You must be able to teach To pass our criteria you must make a map that will be evaluated by an outsourced review team, if you pass our selection criteria then you will then be given a 3 day trial period where your teaching methods will be reviewed, once your trial period is finished you will be put onto the list as one of our teachers. Here is the Application form, copy and paste it into a message, fill in the blanks and send it to Indigobeef:
This isn't very informative and kind of unprofessional. If you want to make this a big group like the Review Hub or Testers Guild I'd talk to a higher official to get some support... Good Luck though, If I see this is working out I might apply to be a teacher
Well this is just an over veiw of the group and this was the first place i posted about the group. but i understand where you are coming from and first thing tomorrow im going to put your suggestion into practic, thanks for the advice.
Same as what he said. Go to soemone higher to get support. You should edit your post to make it sound a little more professional and informative aswell as putting as much information as you can in the group. Such as like sign up forms for teachers or students. I'd also like to apply for a teacher, if this group does become successful.
ive updated this thread, Ive sent off messages to a few off to a few people so we'll see wher it goes
This group is a great idea. If this group grows, it will become incredibly helpful to the forging community.

I have one last suggestion. For an application try using Google Docs. That is what the Testers Guild uses and it works really efficiently. Here is a link To Google Docs
I have many greatly forged ones, but am not pleased with them at all, even though most here would love them. So i would rather spend time ons something from scratch that hopefully i can be proud of.
U r welcome. Dont forget to look me up if u r ever in need of teachers. I would apply now but I am building and launching a website for now
kk I cant wait to see it, msg me on XBL if you need help testing it Good luck with your website just message me when youve finished it and ill see if we can get you as one of our teachers
Your #2 requirement is flawed. Making a good competitive or casual map is a much broader category than what you make it seem to be. There are a lot of different components that go into making a competitive or casual map, i.e. line of sight, risk vs. reward, path manipulation, spawning. The list goes on. You can't just clump all of that into one little category. Also, being able to interlock and geomerge is NOT necessary for making a good map. Sure it may not look the greatest, but if you know everything to making a competitive or casual map, you can make a map that plays well. Let me repeat that: You CAN make a map WITHOUT interlocking or geomerging that PLAYS well. I myself am not experienced enough with some of the things mentioned in the first paragraph, as I am still learning how to incorporate them into my maps efficiently. Therefore, I will not apply. You have a good idea that I'm sure will help a few amateur forgers out there, but there are some things flawed about your service.
Agreed. You may want to expand that category. Also, have you created a Social Group for this? It might be a good idea, considering the fact that Social Groups get their own little forum. Finally... please work on your spelling and grammar. Like other people have said, it makes your proposal seem very unprofessional. "Competitive Maps."
