This map was designed for the concept of having two independent cave areas for each base as well as having interlinked tunnels that link to the outside world that is outside of the cave. You start outside the cave and then go inside of it. This map allows for all game types. I mean all of them. I have tested them with asymmetrical and symmetrical game types. Even infection is going to be a blast on this level. You can have a few players or many players. On this map both is fun. It has taken many hours to develop this. There are many short range weapons as well as very few mid range weapons. There is a secret room in this as well. The main objective other than a cave on this map was to provide for a wall that would blow up when the assault bomb blows up. Each base has that. Have a wonderful time and please leave comments as it helps. PS> Detail was also imperative...so look when you go through the tunnel to see the chain link fence with the rock that is the cave behind it. Only one part messed up on this map and I couldn't fix it. Otherwise it's perfect. Notes: Some have asked to have the walls fixed in the second to last image. This wall was intentionally left crooked to give a real feel factor to the cave as it is not supposed to appear as clean as a sterile office. In the intersection of the tunnels you see that the chain fence is a bit off. That had been fixed before the release but the image was not updated. The map is good and everything was intentional. No detail was missed in this maps creation. I hope you find the real touch to be something you like. Have fun. VIDEO Download Map Download Map
Looks like a very nice map! It seems to have some fun close quarters battles and then a few mid-range battles in the openings! Could you provide a weapon list? I think that people would DL more if they knew that there weren't 8 shotguns/maulers/swords on 10 second respawn. Otherwise, great map! edit: It looks like, in screenshots 1&3, that a simple grenade jump will get people out of the map. That might need to be fixed. Also, it looks like there may be a few bumps that should be fixed.
I love close-quarters combat feel. Can't really tell what the map looks like from the pics, but I think some of the walls could be cleaned up a bit. I'll give this a dl to use for infection.
Sadly a simple grenade jump will get you out. I ran out of materials. That and money. I will be using money glitches from now on since I am getting pretty good at making complex maps. I was wanting to use fence wall at an angle or something to make a taller fence. Oh well. Still is really fun and if you do get out you are going to have a negative advantage. Good eye
Each team has its own spawn base. I also set it up so that each team has a cave as well as the main spawn area in foundry. So yes each team has its own spawn areas as well as a spread out spawning system to allow for diversified killing and to make the capture the flag much more enjoyable. You will be pleased.
Some fence walls near the intersection were at fault but have since been cleaned up for the release that was released. The entire map is very clean. The interlocking played a huge part in this maps success.
Woah, you might want to watch the double (or triple here) posts. It's illegal to bump up your thread here so just use the edit button. You can quote someone else using BB codes too. In all honesty, I've done maps like this and I've ended up deleting them because they are easy to get out of, and they get repetitive. Most people like more open space in maps (including me). Your map looks good and you have forging skill, but make sure that you use a money glitch (try dling moneyglitched canvases and delete your old canvases).
thanks ill give it a dl, i was going to be very dissapointed if you made it so that everyone spawned at original foundry bases
this layout looks sound, and good ideas, however I don't think you executed it as well. Like on the second to last pic the wall is crooked, and on the 8th pic the interlocked boxes are all bumpy. just simple little details like this will totally change how your post/map are viewed, I'd love to see a v2 in the future.
