So i made a map on foundry and its a CTF map. Ive studied the onslaught spawns. I thought i made my own identical. i double and triple checked them( including the spawn areas. but for some reason when i play ctf the teams sometimes respawn after they die on the wrong side. does anyone know what my problem may be?
Put a respawn area around the spawns, Lloydman. Keep the spawns on neutral. Make sure you've changed the gametype to CTF first. If you change the gamtype on Onslaught to CTF, lots of new spawns and stuff should appear. You have to replicate that stuf too, unfortunately.
So thats what i did though before. i am using the onslaught game type. i go to forge on CTF gametype editor. i have all my spawns placed on neutral with spawn areas that cover the spawn points assigned to the appropriate attackers or defenders. but when u kill the team and grab their flag the respawn on the wrong side.
Ok so I was geomerging sandbox and i got my block just how i wanted itafter a few different round , so I saved and quit loaded the map and my block was in the position it was pobably the round before i saved and quit. So I go back do it again same thing happens I probably do this three or four times and same thing happened until about the fifth roun what the hell happened?
If it's in the dunes, it is most likely just moving as you are saving it. It is almost impossible to hold something perfectly still in the dunes.
Security I was wondering if there was any way for me to have some sort of admin rights of the map so people cant edit it or view it in theater or something. My map has a lot of easter eggs in it and everyone seems to be finding them by watching others in theater. Thanks
quick question can someone teach me how to merge open double boxes because those never come out right for me
That depends on how you want it merged. If you want it merged so that it doesn't look wonky, I suggest you use walls or something as your guideline. No, there's no way you can.
i have the box up against the wall and it is in a line pushed into the wall along the boarder of foundry
would u like me to show u on xbox live? otherwise u can just place the first box. edit its settings to make it spawn later. then start a new round and put a new box where u want it. if u want them merged u will want the new box to overlap with the old. it maybe be hard to tell where u had ur old box which is why u may want to leave a marker or something. there are other ways to do this but this is the basics.
merging into corners.. help so i have been trying to remake a map i made on foundry in the sandbox crypt. since the walls in there are horible ive been trying to merge some double boxes into the corner of the map. it is turning out to be one of the most anoying things i have ever done in forge. i think i am doing most of it correctly, i forge alot so i am by no means new at this. just wondering if you got any tips for doing this, or if you know if it is possible to do it reliabley at all.
How do I geomerge teleporters into the ground at sandbox so that I can't (or barely can) see them? iTz Fuzzywig did this in his map "Mile-High Club" see the green dot next to the foot...(the teleporter) thanks
Pretty easy, actually. Put a teleporter down and set it to not respawn at start, and start a new round. Then place something on top of it (i.e. a block) and force spawn it. Now, you have to place the object on top so that you can grab the teleporter still (have a bit of the node sticking out). Grab it, and because the 'grab point' of a receiver node is in the centre of the telpoerter goo, it goes under the map. Save & quit and it chould be fine. This worked for me on Foundry, but it only worked for receivers. Good luck!
the problem is you can't set the respawn time for teleporters. I got a 2-way teleporter mostly in the ground, but the top (metal/sold) part is still sticking out, and i cant figure out how to get it in the ground. also, you are able to teleport FROM the geomerged teleporter, but it is blocked when teleporting TO it.
Don't set the teleporter to not respawn, set the box to not respawn, then put the receiver where the box will be. Make sure the node is upside down.
Oh yeah, sorry. I meant set the box to not respawn. Then, while holding the teleporter, bring up the menu, press X over the despawned block's place on the list and force spawn it (set the run-time minimum to the maximum). It should pugh the teleporter into the floor. Putting it upside-down is optional. It makes the receiver completely invisible though if you do. But it may block it; I've never done it that way.
thank you to who answered my first question but now i have one that confused me even more. i was playing on onslaught and on amp today and they have part completely blocked off with fence boxes and other things i was wondering how you do that so that my work area is a perfect square like those maps
i just spend an hour digesting what you two have said, and trying to figure it out, but i still didn't get it. Could you please post step by step how to do it CLEARLY, and as if you where writing it for a complete idiot, that would be great! thanks for your help.
sorry if your talking to me ill re-explain it when i play on foundry i start in the back on one of the sides but on mlg amp i start in the middle place because the other part is blocked off how can i set up fence boxes or some other object to block that off if you still dont understand play on onslaught v6 or mlg amp v6 i can try to find a picture if you need one
