Does Bungie approve of people getting out of their maps? An example would be of pushing a turret/vehicle/teleporter out of Sandtrap. They DID put the "easter egg" up on the towers, but how could they want people to break the barriers they put up on their carefully made maps?
Well they made the maps for people to play on competitively and to forge on. Not for people to look for glitches and easter eggs. I guess they do approve of it, I don't know if they like it, but really, what are they going to do?
What do you mean, what are they going to do? They could do the same thing they do with people having mods in their file share, they'd either remove them from the file share or ban the creator. I'm not saying they should do this, but they COULD do that if they wanted to.
When he said, what could they do, I believe he meant if you were in Forge without saving the map to view the easter egg of Sandtrap for example, i.e. nothing goes in File Share. I don't think Bungie cares, as EGP said, except when it comes to map variants for Atlas. If a map submitted to Atlas has objects out of the playable area, whether it's a Teleporter leading outside, or an immovable object that is inaccessable, it'll be rejected.
I believe that Bungie has learned to deal with it. Eventually there's going to be someone who finds a way out of boundries, and they know that. Not much they can do. Although, they may recentally be starting to deal with it, but it's hard to tell. For instance: Me and my friend were playing Halo 2 Campaign, on a city level where Hunters attack you, and it started to where we got ontop the building to get the skull, but we got curious, and well... We grenade/butterfly jumped, and sometimes a combination of the two, and we got to the highest point the game would allow without us being in space. The top of a skyscraper. Hunters looked like ants and they couldn't find us. This made me think if Bungie cared that this was possible, but I never really knew. Now getting out of maps in theater is possible and not a problem, since you can't play up in those areas, but on Valhalla the was a spot on the mountains you could play on, and I was like... WHAT? So the only way we'll ever really know is to get Bungie's personal opinion.
I watched a VidOC special and these testers were talking about how all day they would try this one jump on Highground to see if you could get out (before Halo 3 came out) of it and they didn't. So all those hours of testing then the next morning a guy does it and puts it on youtube. I think they do care..
Yes they do. Bungie doesn't mind people glitching because its there fault they didn't find the glitches. Merging and Interlocking is a glitch and we find those in matchmaking all the time.
Bungie always supported people breaking their maps since they knew it was going to happen. For example on Backwash it says "Sure is bleak out here" in huge letters outside the map.
If people buy Halo for fun. And if people think escaping a map is fun, then Bungie should like that. More money and happier players.
^^ that's not what it says. But yes, true. (guy above alex) Spoiler It says something similar to: It's looking a little rough out here...
Who cares, its not Bungies task to tell you what you cannot do in the video game you bought. The only thing I think Bungie disproves is cheating in Matchmaking to gain exp and get achievements.
#1, its obviously fine to leave if they put that easter egg on the tower. #2 Is the actually Megan Fox? Looks like Micheal Jackson with formed cheeks... i guess its coz its only her face.
