Ok I've never seen or heard of someone doing this before and when I look into it, I wonder why it's never been attempted. Onto the idea, now as we all can see, the items on sandbox have been based off of the map Sandtrap. While I can assume that remaking the entire map is impossible, I want to try and make the majority of it. I was planning on this for a while but I've never gotten to it but now I think it has to be done. It's something I know I can accomplish, I have no doubt in my abilities. I just want to know what people think about it. Ok so my original plan was to start with the large area from sniper spawn to laser spawn on Sandtrap. I'm going to measure the length, height, and width of this area using respawn areas. I'm planning on using respawn areas also to measure distances and find where I want to start building. You can call me crazy or a dreamer, but I will attempt this remake of one of the best BTB maps to date.
why remake it when you can simply play it? if you remade blood gulch that would be a whole different story, but remaking a map that is already on halo 3 doesn't usually work to well.
People please don't leave comments like these, I respect your opinion but either way I'm doing this. I know that there are a lot of people that hate Blockout for the same reason and yet it's featured so it must be special to some.
ya, but on sandtrap you don't have the forge objects you do on sandbox, so lets say you wanted to add an immovable piece of cover? you couldn't do it on sandtrap but you could on sandbox.
Don't do this. Its a desperate move at making a map. Sandtrap is already there. I agree with Spawn of saltin....
I personally like Blockout way better than Blackout. I say go for it! You never know, if you spice it up a bit, it could be better than the original. Don't let any of the naysayers change your mind, I think your idea is brilliant. I love remakes! =)
It's gonna happen don't worry about that. Of course, I cant remake the whole thing but I'm currently making the central structure where laser and sniper spawns. It's going to be like Sandtrap from a different time.
