Fixed the prefix thanks. Yeah I had the idea for that center structure for a long time and finally incorporated it into this map. It also serves the function of providing some cover to each team in CTF as the flag spawn and capture are on the top towards the front of each base.
This map has some great looking features. I like the gold Columns with the bridges in them, it looks like something Bungie would make. (Not to get you too excited lol) Great forgings and I think I'll be downloading this when I have room. Nice going..
Hey, great map! It looks like it'd be alot of fun to play on. I have one suggestion though. Maybe put some pieces out into the sand, merge them into the playfield if you can. Its just that alot of these maps built on the main floor of Sandbox leave the sand dunes too easy to dominate from. Even good maps like that utah mamba, its too easy to just sit on the dune and shower people with your chopper shots. Or circle endlessly with the hog, if you got the laser. You need some cover out there, to allow players WITHOUT the laser a chance to kill a good vehicle driver. Also, I think its next to impossible to do anything about it, but haveing a sniper on this level is ALWAYS an issue, as you get the 14 year old general on the large dune owning the map. At least you have a second sniper to help control that, but your map IS symetrical (at least it looks that way), so the side with that hill has a decent advantage. Look, I think your map is sweet, I'm just pointing out some VERY minor and almost un-avoidable issues that arise from Sandbox's layout, not your forged map.
Great points. There are several ways to stop the hog, first you could sticky it, secondly you could grab a plasma pistol and disable it and then stick it or maybe brute shot it to death, also there are sniper rifles on the map and you could snipe the turret guy or the driver. Loved the input and it will really help to make my future maps better. Thanks for the comments.
The middle structure realy caught my attention. Very original. You got the right amount of open areas ballanced with covered areas in the middle section and I like that. The middle structure really does have a part in the gameplay, makes it so the person on the walk ways above the map doesn't have a huge advantage. This looks like a map where the spartan laser would have trouble killing an experience warthog driver/gunner team. Maybe add a few more sticky grenades and a few power drains. Don't get me wrong I love killing with the hog, but I don't like a game of base rape with the warthog. Good map.
