Ok well I did a full forgethrough and..DAMN this is one nice map. So much detial and attetion to object placment.

This fantastic piece of map belongs to LIGHTSOUT225, and is being stolen by a Spence45 from Bungie.net. I make this post to raise awareness that this is indeed LIGHTSOUT225's map, and that he was not the one doing the stealing. _________________________________________________ I played a game on this a few weeks back with albyhouse and one of his friends, and had a fairly good time. One thing that really ticked me off was your grav lifts - they would always tick me slightly to the side when I tried to use them, so I'd have to spend 5 seconds trying to escape before alby came and bashed my face in with bullets . Other than that, fantastic map, there's not much you could've done to make it any better than it is now!

A couple games later, i get a message and a friend request from him. He said he and his buddy (he played with a guest in RR) checked out all of my maps and loved them all, and asked me to please accept his friend request. Turbo Gerbil, Lord Paladin, Soggydoughnuts, and I played customs with the kid last night when he randomly joined our party. Today I checked his file share because he happened to be online and i knew he had a forge interest...low and behold i see Arachnid. WITH THE SAME DESCRIPTION AS TARANTULA TOWER, MENTIONING MY GAMETYPE! So naturally i DL'd it....needless to say i sent a ridiculously angry message to him a few minutes ago...my blood is boiling. I put SO much time and effort into that creation, and am quite proud of it. He hasn't published it to the forums...yet. But I'll be watching...like a hawk. It also shows on his file share on bungie.net that Arachnid was created on 3/16/08...2 days ago. THIS PRICK SHOULD GO DOWN! Please go to his file share and report the map as inappropriate. All you dedicated forgers out there know how long it takes to put together a map like this, and how it feels to finally have that shiny finished product. Having it ripped off sucks, a lot. I don't know if reporting the file will do anything or not, but I would appreciate your help and cooperation in this matter. If there is anything else that could be done about this please let me know. NOTE: He DOES know about ForgeHub.com, so this potentially could happen again. He ALSO has 3 different maps on his fileshare that were"created" on 3/14/08...Cabin, Catapult 5000, and Robot. Most likely these are stolen also.
Thanks alot...i was pretty heated earlier. Apparently the message i sent scared em a bit (it was profane, to say the least) because shortly after he signed on he had removed ALL maps from his fileshare. This means that all of those maps were ripped off from other people. what a tool. oh yeh then he deleted me from his friends list haha. Yeh the upper lift will sometimes push you a bit off to the right, but its only slightly, and usually only did it later in the round. i worked for about an hour just on e that one lift trying various techniques to get the whole 2-floor system to work... which it does pretty well most of the time. You realize that some people, for some odd reasons, like other peoples maps and put them up on their own fileshares. Three people did that to me. However, I know these people in real life, and they know I could beat them up if they tried.
crazy use of intertwining objects! definetly worth a dl and it looks like you didnt overpower the map with too many power weapons or an armory. good job. you arent a noob!
Relatively speaking. Personally, I didn't have a lot of fun on this. I'm not sure exactly why; the construction is elegant and the gameplay is excellent. It's just like Snowbound for me.

Armories are probably the worst possible idea in a map. period. they slow down gameplay, promote camping, and effectively eliminate most of the map you just created. I think this is your best map to date. It sucks that someone attempted to steal your map, I've had that occur twice already...but they paid the price...muah ha ha ha ha....If he tries publishing it, just send Ash55 or one of the mods a message....they should be able to take care of the problem. It worked for me.
Interlocking ftw! I can make curvy, s-shaped tunnels and **** but i never got the hang of making slopes or hills with walls and stuff
Thanks alot, im keepin a close eye on his FS and if i see that he posts anything ill be sure to let you know and give him hell. Pretty sure he's too scared too now though. Yeh the walls lining the top of the angled defensive tunnels were a pretty big challenge, lots of save/quitting involved. luckily it all came together pretty nicely. Windburry!
