    Listen to this guy.

He knows what he's talkin bout. Also, somehow I got mine back in a week and about a day. I don't remember if I ordered that special or what, but you can ask for it.

Thanks.. I'll see what I can do.

    EDIT:
Okay, is there a certain way that I need to send it in.
    And exactly where?

I know i sound like an uber nub but my xbox 360 has not been moved an inch since I got it when they came out.

If you call the number someone listed above theyll explain everything.
They actually send you a box and stuff to send your xbox back in, just call the number. Good luck

Do you still have your warranty? Cause they will charge you for all this if you don't.

How long you've had it (just look it up I suppose)

And if you've manually broken the warranty, but opening it all the way up, modding it, etc.

Ok I'm sorry but I don't even remember what the warranty looks like (or where it is) or how to know how long I've had the xbox..

Just... call the number and ask.

And I didn't mean you could actually mess up the "warranty" it doesn't work like that. It's not an actual part of the xbox lol...

They never charge you for RROD. Also, his question was answered in the first post. Requesting lock.

You can go to the xbox live website, sign into your GT with Windows Live ID, and then somewhere you can link your xbox using the serial number located on it. Then it will tell you the status of your RROD. And yes, they will charge for RROD if you broke your warranty seal, last time I checked.

Since I already voided my warranty while fixing the disk drive, I'll be fixing mine manually. Really, it's not that hard. The biggest pain is just getting the motherboard out of the plastic casing, but after that it is easy cruising.
