I agree, Why make something and say only people who are special get it, and make the people get it feel all high-ho and then say, ohh yeah, other people can win it now. its sort of like ( Bear with me ) Theres a special game you buy and noone you know has it, you feel special that you have it and all that jazz, then BAM, everyone you know has it. how would you feel?
I'm thinking there is going to be way more than two teams, so 600 sets of Recon is probably an understatement.
Ok, so it's even more of an understatement. And that's all theoretical, too. I'm sure there will be many people who will beat Bungie, there are a lot of really good Halo players out there by now. The ones who get lucky or are having a good day are also just gonna get Recon just for that, and that's just one game you can't lose. Adreniline can really be powerful in an important situation, and I'm sure many kids will get an adreniline rush before the game even starts. Oh, and one more thing. Not all Bungie employees are amazing at Halo.
Yea, I would be so pissed if I were an original recon holder Im sure that Bungie will do something for all of the current recon holders. Perhaps they get things like flaming head or maybe something else, but im sure Bungie wont leave all of the holders with nothing. But its all up to bungie, Bungie gave recon to the people that they thought were very caring, responsible, mature people that contributed to the community (and some skilled players that arent mature...) Maybe they are hoping that the recon holders are responsible enough to not flip out when everyone gets Recon. I personally cant wait to get Recon, I really want the shoulders because they are the best in my opinion. It will suck to see the new hayabusa, but I dont really care about what other people wear.
And even think about how many people are getting it on the 7th of this month... I'm kinda happy about this Bungie Versus The World thing, because I feel I was ripped off during the screenshot contests. I don't care much for the Vidmaster Achievements thing, because I know I'm never going to complete most of those. But just pretend this is Hayabusa... Say one of the Vidmaster Achievements for Halo 3: ODST is going to be super impossible like the one where you had to jump through the rings. Perhaps Bungie is going to try and hint towards a way to get it like they attempted to before people started cheating their ways to the hidden skull... I dunno...
to be honest, the prize was having recon before the masses. if they dont like it, then well thats too bad. they arent all elite or anything... bungie gave it out as a gift, and they can just as easily take it away.
i think that they shold make anew armor and put it up for DLc (as a new armor set for those whom earn it (just like the current recon holders did.))
i agree with mavrick, but it seems like the only reason theyre giving recon away is because everyone is bugging them to get it. if they makes a new "recon", per say, the same thing may happen again.

People just love it because they can't have it. It's human nature to want what you can't have, but when you think about it it's pretty dumb compared to the other helmets. ODST for life.
naah i do like it. i like the way the colors are set up, like which section show your primary, and which show your secondary.
I think if they had just given it to us it wouldn't have been very popular at all. They knew the whole time what they were doing and were building up hype for Halo 3: Recon (now ODST). I'm sure they always knew they were going to have it achievement unlocked.

So you dont care at all, BUT we should have just got it so you could be the one saying Recon is stupid and im too cool? it sounds like you want to sound not desperate and be the cool guy.
