Me - I'll go for anything metal. The Absense ('earsex', as said by a youtube commenter, Protest The Hero, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Children Of Bodom, I could go on and on and on. Hardrock like Alterbridge + Crossfade are win too. Hip hop is mmkay. DISLIKE Any music that takes zero talent to make. Bring Me The Horizon (their guitar riffs anyways), Slipknot (all of it), Soulja Boy... (He raps about report cards...) Most mainstream music in AUS. It's all the same most of the time. And any 'gangsta' rap. That's just rubbish. They rap about capping asses and rape, but If a REAL mafia gangsta ever found them, they'd wet themselves and call their mama. That's me. I like all pretty much all metal besides Industrial Metal, Nu Metal, Metalcore, and Drone Metal. Some of my favorite genres are Technical Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Math Rock, Math Core, Thrash Metal, and Viking Metal. The genres I despise the most are Rap, Hip-Hop, Country, and Pop (I like a lot of JPop though. ;D)

Like: Good music. Dislike: ****. Honestly, you can't just judge on genre. I typically despise hip-hop and rap, but then I found some music that technically goes under that category (though it is too good to belong there in my opinion). What sounds good, and what does not. Oh, and the "I dislike music that takes no talent" is a really shitty point. If it sounds good, it sounds good. The only time that applies is when it could sound better. Take Animal Collective for example, people say it is easy and takes no talent, but it sounds amazing. YouTube - Animal Collective - My Girls So I hate it when people use that, though I occaisonally use the same argument. I save it for "bands" that don't even compose things themselves (Miley Cyrus) or stuff that just sounds like **** when there are similar sounds that are 10x better. In the end, music is all about personal taste and your ear, nothing will please everyone.

I like anything that doesn't have screams. There are exceptions but in general I hate them. And generally I like music that has no lyrices. I don't know why but I just find that most voices ruin songs. Except in rap or hip hop. But if I were to name a few, I'd say Rage against the Machine, Public Enemy, Frank Klepacki, Muse and there are way more but they're the only ones which I like more or less all their music.

You can't understand them, Their lyrics are rubbish (See the song 'Surfacing'), THEY HAVE BLOODY MASKS ON, and the guitarists don't know how to use anything but the 6th string.
