I got a 7 day ban from posting on the Bungie Forums for advertising my fileshare (I didn't know you weren't allowed to do so). Will that disqualify me from winning Recon?
Probably. It disqualifies you from all other recon contests; im pretty sure the rules for this one are going to be the same.
Meh, not too bad, everyone will be able to get it no matter how many times you have been banned once Halo 3: ODST comes out. Still looking forward to the teabagging =)
I'm pretty excited to play on some of the ATLAS maps that have been posted. I've played on a few, but not enough to be able to give them solid feedback. Hopefully this will work out in everyone's favor.

I know, I mean that theyre going to be the same quality of maps as the others i assume in terms of playability and problems such as the OS on Cubed.
An influx of maps probably won't determine quality... however, I think this is going to be used to help guage what users want out of custom created maps based on what is vetoed and what isn't. This is Bungie's big experiment... lets just hope we see good results!
you'll no if u play with bungie because it will say bungie next to there name in the pre-game lobby(this(i know thats not what it looks like, just an example))like in halo2 if u signed onto bungie.net(like some of these players have in halo 2(there not bungies))

From what im hearing, you will be playing the playlist with regular playlists, there are just tons of bungie representatives playing. If you are lucky, you will come across a bungie team.
Well, turns out I am going to Vegas that week (which I'm not complaining), so I'll miss this. Too bad, but oh well.
negative. there is a specific playlist titled Bungie vs. the World that will be live for 24hrs starting sometime after 12:00am PST on Tuesday 7/7. You will only eligible to win recon by beating a pre-specified Bungie team of 4. There will be several teams throughout the day, but each team has a specific time slot in which they will be playing in the playlist. Find yourself matched against one of these teams in this playlist and win, and you'll earn recon. At this point, its unknown whether or not there will be multiple teams playing at any given time
Wow. After reading what Squidhands just gave us there is practically no chance in getting it. Oh well, guess I'll just play in the playlist for the community maps.
Meh, that's only for one hour (so far). There will be plenty other teams that probably won't be so skilled, but then you'll probably just be lucky to get an actual game with the Bungie crew, whoever they are.
What aree your chances really of getting to play against 1 specific team in an hour or even a full day against hundreds of thousands, if not millions of others?
