CQC - Close Quater Combat - V2 V2In the V2 i added in 2 more buildings, removed the sword, spread out the shotguns and balanced it out. It can now hold 3v3. To balance it out a bit, i removed both spike grenades. I also added 2 more buildings, both can be entered. looks like a nice map. It almost looks cute. im not sure its quite big enough though. where does the tele go?
i Have a question jusat about posting ur maps n stuff wit posting pics do u save in my pics then upload or cluster them into to a group on a sinlge page just wondering cause i wont have my laptop till like next week oh yeah n my comment about the map very nice design but u need to make it a little bigger dude cause what only like 3-5 people can play
looks too small for anything but 1v1 and 3-player FFA, but the map is expertly forged. the bases (especially the round one) are very well created.
you can see a second teleporter underneath the first. I agree though its very small so probably doesnt play well you should maybe keep the part you have already got but just expand it or maybe make some closer screenshots as your screenies so far just make it look tiny
LOL, yeah it is VERY small, i cant think of anything else to add in. if you have any ideas just say em. Then again it is called Close Qauter combat...
its an very well forged map, maybe you could add a second base right next to it, like make a replica and set it right next to it or something, that way, it makes it a little bit bigger w/o losing the qcq feel to it, nice job.
To anyone that has, or is about to comment on this map. DON'T say it's too small without playing it. Anyways, on to my opinions. =_= Ignore anyone that says this map is too small. (Especially since I'm sure they haven't even tested it) I had a smaller map that worked completely fine for 3 person FFA, so I'm sure this will work fine. The buildings are really well forged, they have interesting designed, and look like they'd work really well. The only problem that I can see is the weapon list. Three different grenade types is overkill for a map this size. Secondly, 2 shotguns AND a sword? You should get rid of ALL of them, and place 1 mauler instead. . . it's just to overpowered for a map that size. (Well, in my opinion, although I can't test the map yet, cause I don't have my 360 atm) Bubble Shield And a Regenerator is overkill also, picking one would probably make the matchs work better. I think having 4 SMGs is a bit much too, but it's not that big of a deal, so I wouldn't change it. All and all, it looks like a fun map, and I'll download it once I get my 360 back and give a better opinion.
I think that it is too small for even a 1v1. I also think that there are too many powerful weapons for a map that is this tiny- seems like it would make everything too cheap. Its like giving tons of power weapons to people in the Sword Room on The Pit- that gets cheap.... Also the grunt really adds to the map and makes the map an aesthetic masterpiece!
Ok, looks like a small scale version of a larger map. If you made a larger map with the same layout style, it might work. Also, it looks like you spent your time with your forging becuase from the pics, it's probably flawless. Don't be afraid to add more to make a assymetrical map. You've got making buildings down and if you added some changes in elevation with double boxes and large ramps, you could (no pun inteded) take this to another level. This part looks fantastic and very well could be a center structure formation for even a symmetrical map. Maybe if you add a another tower similar to the one with the bridge on it on the opposite side with a bridge connected to it as well. then you could remove the teleporters. then add two "bases" on each side maybe with an arched bridge also leading to the center from one of the two sides of the bases. Also, aesthically this single piece could be machinima quality. I won't rate yet because I haven't play tested it yet, but good forging and look forward to a V2
All I would have to do on this map is camp the upper teleported with a shotgun or sword andI have won the game because I see no other way up there but the teleporter. Also if there is I can camp the larger tower with the bridge leading to it with and SMG/AR because ill get first shots almost always. I suggest you rethink the center buildings roof, maybe adding another way up and adding a second way on to the larger tower. Also I know its CQB but 2 shotguns and one sword? Your promoting camping with those because people will grab the extra ammo and think 'im good for ammo, lets go hide until I need more'. Overall good forging and layout, this can definitely become an awesome map with your skills. 4/5 for forging. 3/5 for weapons and the teleports. Ill be nice and give a 4.
I made a V2 and added in some more buildings and took out the sword, and spread out the shotty spawns and putting in less ammo.
Sorry, but you can't have three threads for the same map. Feel free to edit your original post to reflect the changes, and you can even change the title of your thread to reflect that this is a V2.
Well, you can update your original post in this thread and change the title, but don't make a new thread for a V2 the day after you make one for V1.
This is way to small, im sorry, but CQC maps are many hallways and enclosed type maps.. Plus, from the pictures i can't really get a feel for what else is in the map. So i can't really tell what sets this map from any other
I just added it to my Queue, I'm gonna go see if I can get a quick test run with my brother and neighbor right now and I'll get back to you ASAP. But from the pictures of V2 I think it's a bit more cluttered this time. . . I think I prefered V1 atleast look wise. But I'll give you a better critique after I test it
