BUNGIE vs THE WORLD So if you haven't listened to the new Bungie podcast yet, I suggest you do so. You can skip the first 2/3rds roughly (all they talk about is E3-related stuff).. but after the second intermission.. it gets juicy. Podcast Here <<SPOILERS INSIDE>> Spoiler Basically, on 7/7, 4-man Bungie teams will take to a brand new playlist titled "Bungie vs. the World" and play people for an entire 24 hours, from start to finish. If you're lucky enough to face a 4-man Bungie team, and win, you will earn yourself a shiny set of Recon armor. Recon will also be awarded for unspecified stat-markers and achievements similar to the Valentine's Day Massacre playlist of yore. But wait, theres more. The Bungie vs. the World playlist consists entirely of never-before-seen-in-matchmaking community-made map variants! Currently there are just over 32 maps that are slated to see MM action on the 7th of July, but that number could rise to nearly 50 maps by the time Bungie Day is here! So all you forgers who had the smarts to submit a map to ATLAS for the new Summer Theme probably have a pretty good shot at getting your map some MM time! I'm very excited, and I'm sure you are too. Discuss said excitement and the like.
4-man teamS. But I'm 90% sure its just 1 team at a time. 4-man Bungie teams will roster up and will be scheduled to play at specific time slots throughout the day. The roster will supposedly be released soon-ish for all to see
4 man teams from Bungie. This sounds great. Even if you don't get Recon, you get to play on some community maps.
All of this means nothing to the people who haven't gotten featured on here, which is a good 95%. All we can hope for is to snag recon.
Not true, I am pretty sure Shishka does not look for maps on Forge Hub, so if you submitted maps to Atlas you have a good chance.
Somebodys going to be playing halo for quite a while on Bungie Day but for me to do that I hope that the playlist contains a good percentage of decent maps because knowing Bungie the playlist will be filled to the brim with notorious maps such as Cubed, Smashed, Octoplex etc. But at the moment ill give them the benefit of the doubt and play the playlist and experience each one for myself and see what i think from there

i wouldn't tea bag bungie members, suposedly in these "beat bungie and haz recons" competitions, if you tea bag a bungie member, and then win you don't get recon because you teabaged bungie!
This is great news! I assume it will be a normal playlist where you'll be playing against normal members... but if you get paired against bungie employees then you get a chance at getting teh reconz!
I'll just be assuming Bungie has invited MLGpros to take the place of there staff and that no one will win recon. MWhahaha
Same. I was telling my brother to do whatever Bungie Day did, for me, like download something if that is what they did. But I don't think he will play a bunch of games for me.
But I'm going on a college trip that week! NOOOO! Do I dare trust my brother to play a ton of Halo games on my account while I'm away? Even if I did, he'd just forget.
Ah man! That's sucks for you because you won't be able to get Recon! Oh wait... I'm really looking forward to this though, but if you don't get paired up with a Bungie member, you have a very slim chance of getting Recon because some people have only gone for sticks, headshots, etc.
He said he grabbed at least one NeoGAF map which makes me think that he is in fact looking, maybe gazing upon communities outside of ATLAS.
