Hello, I am trying to forge on Sandbox and i need some help, can anyone tell me a way to get a wall the same level as a double box, i can't find anything like the dumpsters on foundry, and second, how is a way to geomerge tubes just into the ground so no ramp is required if there is a way, Please comment and help
To get a wall at the same height as a block, stack things like this: Double Wall <--- Keep this wall. Double Wall Stone Column Stone Column Block, Huge____________________________________ Geomerge a tube just like you would any other object on Sandbox.
Are the stone columns like this ------- l l ------- or like ---- l l l l l l l l ---- Exageratd off course but i dont know, call the first one first way and the second one second way -Thank You
I've found that this is somewhat inconsistent. The teleporter method is really good ___ <- wall XX <- teleporter [ ] <- block huge/block tall
Thanks all I will Try both of these methods And i just have to say Forgehub is the best site for forging tips, i posted this thread, left the room for a minute, came back, refreshed the window, and there was already a tip. Thanks again
I personally don't use that method, I just save & quit / mancannon float walls at the height of a box. He asked for the stacking way so...
Well technically both of ours are stacking methods. I usedthe method you described to build my map since I didn't gltch in any teleporters and it just felt like to me the use of 2 double walls caused more z shifting but it might be paranoia
if you are not connection host, meaning you join a friends game, which you can arrange, you can double tap A on the bottom of the tube and it will slightly geo-merge, no ramps needed.
The simplest way to do it is a block tall underneath 4 walls. The fifth wall is the one to keep. Since a block has the same dimensions as 10 walls. A tall block has the height of 5. You just stack 5 more walls.
Just be sure you use the non-tattoo side of the double block or else the double block will be taller. I've also had concerns that the Z-shifting on double walls was exagerated when you stacked them, but that might just be idle paranoia.
