WARNING: Course is meant for semi - pro and proffessional racers. if you're not ( ok ) at racing, don't yell at me if it's hard. If it is too hard though, I'll gladly delete my killball jumps and make more barriers if you are ok with sacrificing coolness for an easier race track. Map: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Gametype: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details film of race: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Max player limit:16 Max Teams: 2 ( red or blue ) I'm happy to announce that I have become the world first halo 3 player to create a racing map around ALL 6 towers of sandbox. ( not in the grid either! out of the barrier. ) truly excited, I'd love to give you an in depth description of the first Tower Stretch. starting line: You first begin in front of your objective. ( look behind you and see an oddball mark and a jump.... well, you cannot make without a mongoose or a mancannon. ) It might be a little dark to see the path, but you'll get used to it quick. ( make sure to turn up your brightness ) learn the path, and walk strait up until you see the mongeese. Once in sight, make sure you jump to the platform! I'd hate for you to fall and be pissed Get on a mongoose and start the race. First Tower Stretch: rev up your mongoose just enough to fall onto the track. the first path is short and easy, just a curve all the way to a jump. This is where most people fail, forgetting my one tip: GO SLOW on the 1st jump. If not you're likely to flip. Now for the second path of the 1st tower. Drive up a 30 degree angle hill, and you'll see a red light. Red lights indicate a part of the course that requires great control of your mongoose. The first red light is a series of turns on the walls of the path. Believe me: you'll know when you're there. pass the red light, and you get to a fun ( or dangerous, if you make it > ) part. SPEED BUMPS! sure it's not fun slowing down to a bumpy ride, but me and my friends love yelling SPEED BUMPS! and going full speed on them. Now, there's another jump. This requires more skill than the first. Make sure you don't go too fast, or don't go too slow. go Medium speed and hit the RIGHT SIDE of the jump. congrats, you're past the first tower. If You'd like to see the rest, click on the film provided above. Screenshots: ( without Juicy effect ) Now you're on your ride to victory!
This'll be a nice distraction this summer. It looks like it'll really require a good deal of driving skill to complete a full run. I'll be DLing this whenever I get my 360 back.
First off congrats on the first person to make a track on the outside! I think that looks insanely challenging and I would love to try it but can you make a simpler version?.Because i prefer to RACE with people not go on a slow paced obstacle course. On the actual map i give it 5/5. I'm making a suggestion of a 2nd map where it's a simple race track around it with a couple of jumps.
The pics are a little dark and I can't really see what's going on. . . But I'll DL and see how it is because I am a sucker for challenge maps.
thanks! I'll keep it in mind. I'm gonna start making it asap, just a full speed circle around the map.
This map does look pretty difficult but i'm pretty confident that I could ace it P.S. Why would anyone want the kill balls out? they make it so much more exciting! P.S.S. An overview of the map would be more helpful
This is neat man but sorry you aren't the first to complete this.... someone already did this and made it so you go down into the main level and race around the whole outter part of the middle level of sandbox sorry man your not the first. (It wasnt me) but its still a good race track. Edit: Downloaded it and well.... its not exactly 6 tower stretch either is about 200-500 feet away from each tower (My guess) you should definetly fix that and try to make the map look alot nice than it is.
uhhh.. how do you know I wasn't first? I created this quite a while before I posted it, plus I haven't seen any other posts on the subject. I'm sorry but it's gotta be proven. also, I didn't touch the towers do to money issues. So that small amount of distance you'll have to deal with. ( also Death barriers! Please don't critique if you haven't looked into the details, ok? ) and for the last thing, this map for me was more about the achievement than the "Neatness" of it. yes it might be a little messy, but my god do you know how long it took just to get the map floating? and outside the map? I'm not spending time interlocking every piece when it looks great anyway. It's just too much effort while I'm running a contest and building more maps anyway. Now, I'm not saying I'm a bad forger for not interlocking that map. if you wanted to see interlocking, just send me a message or FR on XBL and I'll show you my hardest work of forging.
well if xkreep is right than you are still the first to do it in the skybox which is probably 100 times harder since i think that you cant just set stuff down if your outside the map. nice job man. and i know that you just did this for the acheivment so good job. just saying though you might not get very many dl for this since it isnt the smoothest track out there. but it will get your name out there for being the first to do this. i dont really care about the smoothness, and if you truly did this just to be the first than i dont think you will care if there arent as many dl. GREAT JOB
This isn't anywhere near as difficult as some that I've played. Try and make some harder obstacles. Actually, scratch that. Played it, and its harder than it looks. And thank you so much for saying about how it doesnt need interlocking. People always complain about my interlocking on my obstacle maps.
It wasnt posted on the forums it was a map that my friend had showed me when he had alot of racing maps to play on. 1. The map it was interlocked only on the slopes going up and down. 2. The map was made on april 17th (Yours was made a month after that) 3. It went right next to the towers except one which it had the death barrier (All 6 dont have death barriers) 4. He used an unlimited budget glitch and all of the previous items used on the default sandbox map was brought to the skybubble. 5. It looked like it took him a good 2 weeks to do about 3-4 hours a day. 6. Small Amount of Distance? Its Alot! of distance 7. And yes i do know how long it took i hate making maps outside the sky bubble the most i do is just make a map on one of the guardain towers. (Also near one of the guardian towers you can go completely out the map if you put a receiver node out in the air and save then end the game.). So your not the first. Ill also try and post the map and put it in my fileshare as proof the next time i get on halo.
unless you have the map for proof, i'm sorry. you show the download proof of the map dated before mine, and I'll stop whining. nevertheless, I'm first to show it publicly.
This track is awsome. Its great for just 4 or so people so it's not to crowded. It offers a great challgne. I still haven't made it to the end without falling off yet. Great design. Could be a little neater though, but I'm asuming you used the flating objects glitch so its hard to get it much better than you have it.
