It's a little confusing at first I admit, but you aren't allowed to post debates that are opinionated. Someone could say "I like MLG because you get small maps."
Debates are supposed to be on your belief, and not your opinions. Do not say it is the same thing because it truly is not.
If you believe that MLG is better than BTB does that not mean the same as your opinion is that MLG is better?
There is no rationale to liking one more than the other. I myself prefer BTB because I'm more laidback, and I dislike when Halo gets overly competitive (see: MLG). However, the case may be opposite for someone who plays Halo competitively, therefore they naturally gravitate towards MLG. If you couldn't tell already, the two choices in this debate are completely subject to opinion, and I can't even tell how they relate, other than its matchmaking.
thank you for being the first to properly post on this the reason its these two is, in fact there are several: BTB is probably the most social playlist with MLG being the most competitive BTB is unranked and MLG is MLG uses custom map variants (full map layouts, i mean) BTB has 16 players, MLG has 8 BTB everything is allowed, MLG is restricted there are more but theres no point goin on...
So basically you're summed down to: Casual Competitive These options differ from player to player and can't be debated about. Someone's not going to change their opinion because you like MLG more. Its preference. Therefore this is not a debate.
MLG = has ranks, therefore people will de-level BTB = lets guests in, so 50% of the players suck welcome to halo 3
Do a little more research before you post this. If you are stating that max players in BTB is 16 and max in mlg is 8, then yes you are right. Although, you are wrong is how in BTB everything is allowed and MLG is restricted? Obviously you haven't took note not everything is available in BTB as well. This is kind of a stupid debate and pretty pointless. I don't see why you need to argue about which is better, if you don't like it then don't play it.
BTB because unlike the MLG it is more laidback and less serious. The seriousness takes away fun of the game most of the time thus leading to the fact that BTB is clearly better. And yes this can be a debate. You present facts as to why your side is better. In the above statement I stated that the seriousness of MLG sucked alot of the fun out of it thus making BTB better to play. Using a basic principal (seriousness leads to boring most of the time and laidbackness leads to fun most of the time) I deduced that BTB is obvious more fun then MLG. That is a debate!!! Your turn!!! =]
BTB is more fun than MLG? Like I said, if you play games casually then BTB is for you. If you're actually good at the game and play competitively then MLG is for you and will be more fun.
Hey I thought I saw a few errors with your post so I figured I'd try to fix it. I guess you can meet some cool people in BTB too though... Idk, I like MLG because it's BR start's all the time (even though BTB is usually as well) and because it's more competitive. High level MLG is usually laggy and there's a lot of host booters so it makes it much less enjoyable, but if I was playing a custom I'd much rather play a 4v4 game of MLG King on Construct than play an 8v8 warthog/tank battle on Avalanche. I still enjoy BTB though, just not as much as MLG. I just love Halo, so playing Halo is fun for me.
