Airsoft is alot like paintball. Except it's alot more military simulation like, instead of bright neon jersey's, and guns that look like they're from some anime ****, real BDU's are worn, along with guns that are actually trademarked by their realsteal counterparts. And full-auto is allowed, so instead of having to shoot on semi, you can lay down fire if you've got a highcap mag, I personally prefer to fire on semi, that and the fact that when I switch to full auto, my mags can't keep up with my ROF...

Paintball is a lot more fast paced and rushy. Airsoft is a lot more MILSIM and is slower paced in certain scenarios but in cqb it can get pretty hectic. You're going to be a lot more tactical and have more teamwork than in paintball.

I ordered a G&G M4A1 last night. Hopefully it will be here before our big scenario game on the 21st...

I'm gonna get a M4A1 RIS, and a nice red dot scope to go with it, or basically any CQB gun like a P90 or an MP5, maybe a UMP. Any suggestions? My budget is under $180 because I plan on buying a few games and stuff for my 360.

I was thinking about getting an Echo 1 P90 because it's the only other P90 on the market that is good, and I heard it's pretty reliable.

For you airsoft people, how do you know that someone is dead/out? Is it just loyalty?

It's an honor based game so yes, it is. At my local cqb place that I go to, there's a tower in the middle where the refs are and if you don't call your hits they shoot you for it lol.

People at my fields up their guns to 400+ FPS, maybe sometimes even hitting 600 FPS, (which is highly dangerous by the way) so you can tell if someone is out by their screams.

BE WARNED THOUGH. 450 FPS is pushing the limit for most stock JG, Echo 1, Dboys, A&K, and more brand guns. You need to upgrade your gun as you upgrade your FPS. Also, most fields won't allow anything higher than 500 FPS stateside.

The whole concept seems awesome and I like the camoflauged/sneaking aspect, but really don't like that you have to be loyal to actually be out. I've actually did the military type creeping in paintball before and I see it as it would be more fun because you can actually see the neon paint against the wooded terrain and the camo attire.

By the way, they aren't even ready for 400fps even so 450 is even worse. It's like giving an ant a minigun, it can't handle it and will probably destoy itself and possibly harm others while doing it. What's your usual MED anyways and I really hope that those 600fps guns are semi or bolt action only.

Yeah, in Canada, anything over 500FPS is considered a Firearm, and you must have your license to own it. As for 600fps? that's starting to get dangerous. Especially when we talk about eye protection... If a gun is shooting 600fps, there better be minimum engagement distances for that person...

    Shoots plastic BB's
    Copper BB's
    Hunting pellets
    750 FPS with 10 pumps
    1500 with 20 pumps
I use 5 to 7 pumps in air soft. Im the sniper for my friends. My longest "kill" on my friends was 200 yards. So yes the scope is real. :]
Yes the pic is old and I don't always kill squirels so Roche youre safe ;]

Mind telling me how it fires 6mm BBs as well as 4.5mm Copper BBs and Pellets? And 200 yards is 600ft... I seriously doubt you did that...

All I got is a colt.45 or something like that its ok it only has 210 or 230 fps but it has hieroglyphic sight with a red laser pointer attached but I think its actually pretty nice. I was pwning my friends in a airsoft war but soon the tables turned and it was 2v1 and they had really nice airsoft pistols and rifles so I got pwned afterwards. But anyways its a NICE pistol. to bad it got taken away :(

EDIT: Oops Its actually a colt MK IV with 210 fps it goes 24 yards and holds 14 BB's and the accuracy is 18/25 or whatever to lazy to go to my bedroom and look.

I didnt say it shot 6 mm bb's I use a smaller plastic bb from a guy who home makes them. they work and look simmilar to 6mm bb's just a smaller cal. and I do have a 200 yard kill, only one but I do, i had to pump a full 20 may be a few more pumps to compensate for the range and I adjusted my scope as well. I had a bi pod and I was on a elevated position overlooking the field. He was moving with a few others and he called me to call me a ***** for shooting him lol. It was very lucky but I do have some marksmenship especialy with a spotter.

The maker of the 4.5 plastic bbs is either out of buisness or something because I find it super hard to find them . So I just get them custom made.

Oh really? did the ancient egyptions make that for you?

And btw, that is actually a really shitty pistol. This isn't the Clearsoft Discussion Thread, this is the Airsoft Discussion Thread...

Agreed even if mine is technically a roddent killer I play airsoft with it and my side arm which is a normal 6mm bb gun lol. no custom bbs for it. I'll throw up a pick in a minute.

Sorry I didn't have a pic of mine on hand but this is the same make I think its 250 fps its spring loaded so its a single pull back. Its okay for when my rifle is useless.

You need to ****ing chill hah.
You get so hyped up off airsofting.
Not everyone is a psycho nerd that wastes all their money on plastic guns.
I would much rather spend my money on a nice paintball gun, and i dont even paintball much.

    Paintball is more expensive!

I like airsoft guns, because they are so realistic and scare the **** out of people around my neighborhood. I'm planning on getting an M1911 or M9, and either a spring loaded sniper rifle, or a gas powered sniper.

I estimate the costs to be OVER 9000!

Not really, but I expect it to be over 300 if I get the gas powered sniper.
