well ive seen quite my fair share of these pictures and im wondering, is it supposed to be like vats in fallout 3 ALSO in niether of those pictures you havesheilds or radar but the compass instead which is ALOT like fallout 3s AND in the above pic the smg has not only a silencer but something like ironsights, though the origanal had it i dont think they would edit the NON accesable ironsights for just asthetics, so will it be there any speculation appreciated
No its nothing like VATs its just to indicate enemy/ally, basicly the Odst motion tracker and i did hear something about ironsights for the smg but you need to read-up buddy, head over to bungie.net
Which is a lot like VATS, but in real time. Except you can't choose where you want to shoot or whatever. I think it also indicates medical kiosks and objectives.
that's just what i said, in a way. damn you and your circular logic! also to the OP: stamina replaces shield, and yes, a compass has been added and the minimap taken out. you can zoom in with the SMG i think, ive seen it before in a video somewhere, but its like the BR or sniper zoom, you only see the reticule, you dont look through the red dot scope or iron sights.
Wow, I definatley see most of the resemblances of Fallout. And I think V.A.T.s would completley ruin the purpose of playing Halo.
ODST has a lot of things that are similar to Fallout. -Open world (area marked on compas and you can explore Mombasa) -Compas -Health- no shielding -activating new vision ("Vats" as you call it) The new vision thing is not VATS, it is used when the game gets dark, you can see clearly and it sepparates enemies and allies. It does not auto aim or anything like that. Also the health system- you have "Stamina" which is kinda like shields, when you get hit by about 4 bullets, you loose stamina and it affects your health. But your stamina is the amount of damage that you take before health loss occurs
