Just torrent The Sims 3 for cryin' out loud! It's not an MMO, but you can share user created content and do all sorts of fun ****. The only reason why I don't have it is because my computer is about 6-7 years old. Xylom, remove the link if you don't want to receive an infraction!
Yeah, its 20$ to start an account, and 15$ a month to play. Not including BC (Burning Crusade) and WOLTK (Wraith of the Lich Kind) which are both Expansions. But I play, and I have been playing for about 2 years now, just every now and then though... Note: Silkroad is actually one of the more High end Free MMORPG's. Its fully 3'd, has a cool PvP system of Robbers, and Traders. It has a vast world, and a good variety of creatures. There are down sides though: There really isn't any quests, and its mostly based on grinding to level, and the game is extreemly boaring before Level 20, unless you like to kill Tigers... Also some of the better in game items are bough through the Market in which you use real money.
No XBL atm. Mom doesn't like the 50ft cord I have to run through the house for it. Also, Halo is boring as hell for me. ya, I'm looking for more of a fantasy anyway. Most high-end mmo I have found is PWI (Perfect World International) The customization is insane and the graphics are amazing, better than WoW and GW. You can also fly and has pretty decent PvE. Clerics own in it, but none of the classes get a 2h sword(sad faic) and it becomes all grind at the higher levels. Anywho, stil searching.
Meh its multi-stuff really, My wife got me into it so i just troll on it really now a days, but they have ZOMG beta which is there version of MMORPG in some retrospect.
Well, right now I'm *cough* legally *cough* downloading SimCity 4. I've always wanted to try that game. You should expand upon game genres. MMO's really get boring after awhile. I went through that stage once. =P
Tried it once, didn't like it. I've played pretty much every genre, I like player interaction. I don't have it ATM(at the moment) I'm a three star dood on halo. Don't have money for adapter and don't really care. Thanks anywho <->_<->
Have you done Guild Wars EoTN (Eye of The North) yet? I got it for 15$, and I must say, it was worth it. Lots of cool new stuff and a good 40 more hours of gameplay per character, even more I'd assume if you're doing HM.
I Like WoW not because of Good Graphics (Which it does have if you play on a high end computer like I does) but because of the endless things you can do, items you can get, and dungeons you can raid
I used to play Runescape, I liked it for the fact that you could do lots of stuff on it but the first levels, until about level 40 or 50 are really boring because you have to grind a lot but eventually it gets better

To clear up the discussion about private servers. If you decide to join one, know that the game won't be 100%. Because of the small volume of people on each server there's little PvP, and the quests that aren't "Talk to Z" or "Kill X of Y" usually won't work. Lag can be a problem too, but for the most part, if the server is in your country, it should be green most of the time. There won't be a huge volume of players on (my server had about 1000 users I think) I joined a few private servers, my friend even started his own (which contained about 10 people at it's peak) but in the end I played real WoW, the low cost wasn't worth the lack of features. Runes of magic is a free MMORPG with WoW-like graphics, but I can't speak of it's quality never having played it. It sounds O.k though.
only free MMORPG i know is runescape. but i think after playing it 10 hours its boring. (Sorry to all runscape fans)
