Most of us remember the groups of Premiums and Non-Premiums. Each Group had about 15 people in it, and the group had one objective. That was to create an amazing assymetrical forged creation. Each member of the group had an assignment. Some were to create sections of the map by using only a selected amount of Money/Budget. Some of them were to place weapons. There was also members of the group that were to tackle spawning locations and areas. This is the Official Non-Premium Group The two groups had attracted a lot of attention, due to the fact that one of the groups contained only Premiums. Thus turning out a spectacular map since they all had been featured at least twice. People were also attracted to the Non-Premium map because it contained a well known group of forgers that had some exceptional work in the past and present. The two groups were moving at a understandable slow rate, since it is hard to think up new original designs on the spot. However, each map got some-what done, but still eventually died out due to a couple things: Some areas of the maps were un-inspirable, Object shapes were leaving less and less imagination, Mythic Map Pack Release, Not enough time in forger's schedual to work on map. (School/Homework) Now that it is summer, some of these problems are resolved. I know that most people are driving around more and going to more parties, but that shouldn't result in a problem. Mostly people forged on the weekends, and thats why it took so long, but now theres more time because we can forge during the weekdays, without worrying about having to wake up or do work. Forgehub Welcomes your lazy attitude with a smile. Since it's summer time, these are reasons we should start these groups over with a fresh start. A brand new look on the Premium/Non-Premium collaborated map. More room to Forge via the Mythic Map Pack, Different shapes/ textures to deal with, Mythic Map Pack Release, ( Sandbox ) Scheduals open up and become more flexible, 3 different levels to build on, ( Sandbox ) A Larger budget, I therefore am suggesting that a Premium & Non-Premium Group be recreated. The changes would be that the map will exist on Sandbox,(Either one of the levels) and there are many more possibilities for structures/bases/platforms/bridges, Etc. This post is to encourage the community to stand behind the decision, even if you are not able to be a part of the map building process. It is an opportunity to bring back the idea of these groups to create the best maps that Forgehub has seen in quite some time. Please stand behind this idea to possibly get this thread Stickied and become "The Official Premium / Non-Premium Map Discussion Thread" Rock on:squirrel_rocking:Forgehub Possible Forgers PJFan83 (Given to Fly 93) What's A Scope? ...
This worked when it happened originally Grunge, I admire the sentiment though. Furthermore, non-premiums aren't necessarily colored members. I barely meet the requirement with 2 maps, elst I'd help the non-prem team.
It's supposed to bring together forgers, not seperate them. Brings together the Premiums to make a map and challenge themselves to make the best of the best, along with the non premiums in the same way. Not meant to seperate the community because that is not what would happen anyway. More people would be excited rather than pissed off because good maps are coming their way. Not that premiums rule forgehub and everyone else sucks... We're equal. They just have two featured maps. Thats all.
I'm a little confused now. Why did you make this thread? I just don't understand why you made the thread if you're not in the group... making the thread doesn't automatically mean you're running it. The Non-Premiums team never finished either. We're still going strong thanks to Driscoll working hard on the map when other members refused. If the Non-Premiums team decides to work on another project we'll let you guys know. Let us finish the first map first. After our first project, members who did not help will be removed from the group and new members we believe will work hard will join.
Good point, I wasn't aware when I made the thread that non premes were still going on. I made it to have a fresh start, but obviously there can't be a start without a finish
Glad we understand each other. And, if you are wondering about the current status of the map: Spoiler
Well said lol I'm in too also map looks pretty nice, Those merges look difficult, like beyond it. However I doubt it will be featured..
If it did get a feature, I believe sixteen people would get partial credit for it. Ha, that's got to be some kind of record.
Yes, I have too admit. The map looks great this for. You never know. The only reason I think it wouldn't get featured is because it's on Foundry (assuming its featureable), but that might not stop it.
I was thinking Foundry Aesthetics, because the objects are merged NICELY! but they aren't exactly even or pleasing to the eye. Hopefully gameplay will be epic, because thats what'd help it anyways G>A accually, G=A
If the Non-Premiums team is going to be beginning another project, I will be running it this time. Linu did a great job, but he can't focus on this project as much because he's a moderator. I'll be selecting a team that will actually be motivated. Driscoll is one of my top choices because he can get a section of the map done and done well. I'm really glad he stepped in on the current project and we'll be continuing that. I hope I'm not sounding too bossy, it's just I want this to be a successful project and these are great ways for forgers to share ideas with each other. There are really no extra benefits to running the project, as we are all equal in the project and all ideas will be voted on. If a few people dislike a certain thing that happens, they can be demotivated and ruin the order. If someone on the team disagrees with something, I want to be sure we can come to a reasonable conclusion. So, PJFan and What's a Scope, you guys both seem interested in the project and would be motivated enough to work on a lengthy group project. Once the first Non-Premiums map is complete, I'll get another thread/group going and we'll get a new team that is willing to forge together.
Sounds good dude, I wanna show you something I made in less than 24 Hrs. on sandbox. Its epic lol SERIOUSLY add me, Given to Fly 93
I might not be on for a while because I've got finals right now and I'm pretty focused on studying. And, my friends list is full. Just send me a message and I'll come check it out next time I get a chance.
Alright, sounds great, Amercan. I hope I can be on the new team. I also can't wait to see what the current project becomes.
You? Uh... about that... Nah, I'm kidding. I'll add you to my mental list of people to invite to the group. Team: Amercan What's a Scope PJFan Driscoll (hopefully)
Haha that would be fun to be in the group, but I don't think I have the competitive forging ability and creativity to join. I'm more into mini-game maps, and I'm currently in the testing phase of one that I made with a friend that's actually an original idea, but I would be like the low-dog if I ever got a seat there. xD
