Dead Space Remake: USG Ishimura

    Hello to everyone here at ForgeHub. I hope you packed an extra pair of underwear because your about to wet them. This USG Ishimura. My friend DC made this map. It has been called "The Dead Space multiplayer that never was" because yes, this is a remake of Dead Space. You scour a zombie infested mining ship finding hidden weapons and getting mauled by zombies that come from above, below, and from everywhere else (sick joke not intended). In USG Ishimura, the humans spawn in the normal Orbital base with the spiral staircase. The zombies spawn in a room full of various teleporters that they can go through to different hidden spots to jump out at, scare the crap out of, and kill the humans. There are two effects placed on this map and they are juicy and gloomy. It takes two to three hits for a zombie to kill you. The weapons on this map are few and if you are a veteran of this map you will be the first to get to the best ones. Believe me, it is a race to get to them. Speaking of weapons, I'll give you a list of them right now.
    Weapons:
    Pulse Rifle (Plasma Rifle): 3
    Plasma Cutter (Mauler): 3
    Contact Beam (Spartan Laser): 2
    Line Gun (Beam Rifle): 1
    Flamethrower (Flamethrower): 1
    Custom Powerup (Health Pack): 1

    The Custom Powerup is located near the bridge on the elbow there. What it does is give you your shields back if they are down from a zombie hit. The Custom Powerup is on a 120 spawn. ​

    Here are some tips for both the humans and the zombies.​

    Humans:
    Stick together and cover eachother.

    When off looking for weapons, watch your own back, the zombies won't hesitate for a second.

    Conserve ammo an use it wisely.

    Don't use the Custom Powerup unless you absolutely need it.

    Make sure you talk to your team. You have no waypoints and you'll need to give callouts on your location if you get lost.

    The map is claughstophobic and cluttered with junk that a zombie could be waiting behind to jump out at you.

    Don't get assassinated.

    Zombies:
    Don't hesitate to attack an unsespecting victim.

    Go for an assassination whenever possible.

    Stay in the tele room and rush through one teleporter if your having trouble killing the humans alone.

    Be patient, wait around objects or blind corners if you think a human will go by.

    Learn where each teleporter leads to so you can use them effectivly.

    Don't charge the humans, dodge from cover to cover, there is plenty of it.

    Now, for the moment that you've all been waiting for and the moment some of you skipped to, the pictures!​

    This is where the humans spawn. It is suggested that you leave the spawn room quickly. The zombies are generally there very quickly.

    This is the tele room that the zombies spawn in. As you can see, there are a lot of places to go to.​

    This is the Health Pack. It has a 120 second spawn and this is one of the most popular places on the map.​

    This is the bridge. A lot of the humans fall victim to the zombies hands here because the zombies literally come from all sides.​

    All of the weapons are hidden, some better then others,​

    Defend your teamates while they search for weapons.​

    Don't let zombies get as close to you as I did.​

    Grab the Health Pack when your health bar looks like this.​

    Who called the zombie slaying armada?​

    Pistols are your starting weapon and are good for killing zombies.​

    The Contact Beam is one of the second best long range weapon, the first being the Line Gun.​

    Don't be suprised when you find your weapons out of ammo.​

    The sword is effective until you are attacked by multiple zombies and each time you clash with another zombies sword your shields go down slightly.​

    That was too close! Don't go for headshots on the zombie with the Line Gun. It is an instant hit kill to the body.​

    Let it burn! The flamethrower is powerful, but it has a delayed death like the needler.​

    This is a good zombie team because the foremost guy caused a distraction.​

    That's all I have got to say. This map definetly deserves a spot on your harddrive and you should definetly download it. Speaking of downloading it, here's the map and gametype downloads.​

    looks good, although it would be nice if you would include some more detailed pictures as to where the zombies can surprise the humans. i really like the general idea you have made here though

    This seems surprisingly well executed, certainly better than another attempt at this that was posted a few days ago... A clarification of the reciever node locations would be nice, but apart from that the map looks good. I'll try it out in a few days (or whenever it is that UPS finally delivers my 360...).

    Also, could you post a listing of traits for the zombies and humans?

    Posting the receiver nodes will totally destroy the element of surprise for the zombies.

    I like the idea, I'll download and play it sometime.

    im impressed by this map, it seems well thought out and has enough cover and weapons for the humans to survive for a nice fight.

    Please don't tell me that you created a mindless zombie game. I lost any respect I may have had for you if you did.

    If you created an infection game in which zombies are instant kill then this gametype and map has no place being on any respectable infection player's hard drive.

    Please provide specs for your game type so we can better decide whether or not this is worth a download.

    FAIL.

    ONLY THE BEAM RIFLE (Line Gun, i assume) is one hit kill to body. It gives the humans a fighting chance. Magnums with one hit kill would fail miserably.

    Please think next time you comment.

    Perhaps you should heed your own advice and think before you attempt to correct others in your post.

    I made my own orbital infection map it had many of the same ideas in yours like the hidden weapons and "health pack" but I really like what you did with the doors to make a bridge and the teleporters to get around. It looks really good and well forged I will give the map a try when I can get on my xbox.
