Hey I know that I posted another forum about my map but i needed to edit it because people say they find spots that they can get out of so I remade it to a Version 2. And P.S. Jacob Hunter was my assistant and helped me make the scarab http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=80621766 YouTube - Halo 3 - TurfBox
Looks decent. It could have been a bit better forged, i think you were going for a more.. ruins kinda look.. but.. it still could have been a bit neater. Other then that, the mapp looks pretty good, maybe a bit open? Btw.. Flaming Head? How did yeah get that?
thers hardly any merging except in the part where the wall like crumpled thats very nice looking and adds to the map nicely decent over all
yeah seriously where can i has flaming head? but as for the map, it's pretty good, i like the pieces of terrain you have created but it looks to me like it could be a bit less open. the killballs and pillars at the top right corner look pretty cool though.
A good map doesn't always need merging. I map I've been working on since the day of Foundry's release has no geomerging/interlocking what-so-ever and the people that have played it thus far have had a blast. This map looks really well and stays as true to the original as it can, judging by the pictures. However, also judging by the pictures, it seems open. A little too open for Turf. I'll test this map out later to see if it's just the pictures that make it look that way. Another thing that seems a little off, when facing the medical tent in the original turf, there are ledges that protrude from the wall on the right with windows, etc. I don't see these ledges in the pictures, which can be somewhat of a problem gameplay-wise as they were important to the map. I do realize that it doesn't have a roof so the ledges had to more or less be taken out because of that. Also, the metal catwalks seem to be missing as well. Migh I suggest adding the outer ledge by the medical tent and the catwalks (which can easily be replaced by wood bridges) and possibly putting a roof over the map so it's inescapable?
He ran into the object limit so he can't make a roof and there is little merging other than the scarab (which i made cough cough..) but the map is still very well made and he spent a lot of time getting it right. It stays pretty true to the original other than the issues with the medical tent. The gameplay is good and overall it is a good map but it is still alittle bumby in some places but it doesnt matter that much to the gameplay i give a 9/10 great job aundre.
