Crysis 2 looks great, but we couldn't see much. The new star wars looks epic. APB (?) looks cool also. Brutal Legend looks cheesy, but it might be cool. EA has some good stuff coming in.
I wonder if Sony and Nintendo even have any sort of announcement. Sony, I'm guessing, will probably announce a new Metal Gear, maybe some stuff about the PSP go. Nintendo...maybe motion plus, possibly some "cool games" that no one cares about. Microsoft ftw.
WTF EA. I think they failed quite badly this year. Only three games of interest and they even dared to add Charm Girls Club and Littlest Pet Shop Friends? Right, they took this seriously... @Chedder: Don't count Sony or Nintendo out. GoW 3 and the next [insert nintendo Franchise] could be awesome. I wonder if they'll announce anything about the Silver and Gold remakes.
I expect we'll see GoW3 and MAG. If however, they focus on PSP Go and PS3 slim, sony will fail. Sony, when are you going to learn the PSP sucks and no one cares. What was the issue with the first PSP? No ****in games. Creating new hardware isn't going to solve that issue. Nintendo has potential to blow **** out of the water with remakes. Bringing back another FF to DS, or something else epic would be huge for them. Another zelda, and the already confirmed new mario would be great as well. There has been two years of hardcore gamers screaming for something from Nintendo, I really hope they don't drop the ball. I really wanted a date on XBLA PD. I hope the announcement is made by rare at some point, but I really thought MS would focus more on XBLA with it's large success, and the further increase of great titles. What? One of the most over-rated bands ever, Mccartney's love for money, and another music game is a good formula? I don't think so. My soul died a little when I heard this was EA's next move with the RB franchise. Pitting this against Smash hits, GH:5...and hell even Van Halen (though I hate them), Activision has a lockdown on the music genre for the next year. C'mon, not only are you providing a lacklust, under-skilled game, you are over pricing the hell out of the only cool part, the instruments. Greeeat job.
I'm not putting out love for just Rock Band with this move I just think this was ****ing amazing. Regardless of your thoughts on the band they did set the stage for damn near every band who is around today. Now if I were to sit here and say Rock Band is gonna kick GH in sales this year, that would be dumb considering you made it a point by clarifying the fact that Smash hits and GH 5 will be out shortly. (which I plan to buy as well) __ edit; In other thoughts, the Metal Gear move is phenomenal. I threw a fit when this was confirmed because I told myself I'd only buy PS3 for MGS, now I don't have to. ODST game play looked great; movement flowed a bit better than in Halo 3. The upgraded SMG and pistol are insane. MW2- wow.
Not true. The Beatles only snagged the spotlight, so they are accredited to being the creators of modern day music. If it wasn't the Beatles, it would have been someone else. But regardless, how many bands can you name right now off the top of your head that sound like the Beatles? Now take into consideration how many artists there are out there. Ya, exactly.
Who said anything about a band sounding just like the Beatles? I did not. I can read. Thank you. I believe you misinterpreted. The Beatles were inspiration on big names in the music industry. Artists like: Hendrix Aerosmith The Who's Keith Moon David Bowie Elton John Franz Ferdinand The Red Hot Chili Peppers The Knack etc, etc. Do me a favor and don't quote me.
Back on topic.... Anybody have any ideas how the new MGS game will work now that you play a super soldier instead of a stealthy old man?
Is it just me, or does Left 4 Dead 2 seem really un-Valve-like? Valve normally takes its time making sequels, continuing support for the first game for years after it has released. Why make Left 4 Dead 2 instead of just adding this content to the original L4D?

Well, looks like Microsoft stole the show. I don't really see how Sony or Nintendo can compare. Microsoft is just stabbing at Sony by getting MGS AND Final Fantasy. Sweeney, you were pretty spot on, lol.
I thought that too until I read what they were adding. They've improved the director to the point where he can change the enviorement and the types of enemies. So, the new survivors, infected and maps were probably going to be DLC. My guess is that Valve thought that getting the director to do that would take a lot longer and decided to ship Left 4 Dead without the addition. @Shat: Getting to show Final Fantasy at their press conference first seems like a stab of sorts at Sony. At least for me it does.
I'm confused. Is MGS:Rising a 360 exclusive? Also, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Alan Wake really surprised me. They both looked awesome.
One game that no one has mentioned that looks amazing is Dragon Age: Origins. It looks so good. It has great graphics, and what looks like a really cool, dark story. Conviction and Alan Wake did look awesome, actually. I was not interested in the game at all until I saw the game-play demo today.
They aren't going to talk much about a game that comes out in less than a month. It comes out in June, right? Or am I mistaken?
