when i get the time i will make the changes yes ut dont you think that in an in-game situation that you would not be able to perform the steps to get out like previous commnets have said. I respect why you have voted 3/5. Thanks for the comment
Exactly what I figured could have been done. I would like to firmly re-state the fact that this is was a fine make, but a v2 down in the crypt would omit the possibility of breaking the map. edit; btw grenade jumping once in-game isn't necesarily the hardest thing to do hence the Tester's Guild- designed to point out the possibility of such happenings.
ya, and then there are the people who hide for sport, i would hate to see what they could do. knowing all the tricks to jumping (grenade jumping, butterfly jumping, double jumping, bruteshot jumping, ect.) can really help when making a map because it can help you to learn what can be broken and how. edit: I was running around outside and found 1 red and 1 blue column from the default peices, you could probably use those somehow to stop breaking the map. or even just tip the columns over so they are on their side or lying down. you wouldnt be able to get the height needed to land the grenade jump edit 2: im sorry but i just found another one, in the midle you have tube peices set up by rocket spawn, and there is a small block next to them, if you can jump ontop of the small block, then the tube peice, then there is one spot underneith your incline on the side of the map with the sunset, you can just walk right out there, no nade jumping required. that one can be fixed by removing the slit wall however. but there are still some other holes in that general area its still and incredably well made map, the detail and asthetics are great, but if you get some idiot in here he could just ruin it for everyone. i would love to see a v2 because this map is great if you dont have anyone trying to break it
Thanks I have been considering moving the map down into the crypt and i went on forge with a friend wh knows pavilion well and we just could not see it happening and the feel of the middle is different to the crypt and is better there. I agree with what you are saying and will look into making a version 2 when i get the time, but at the moment i have an on going project!
Thanks i'm glad that you agree with me about the whole issue really, as you said uless playing with idiots you will not have the time and the space to get out of the map.
Another awesome map, considering it didn't even take you that long! It looks beautiful and has some really clever ideas (like the sniper placement and the hole in the ramps) which boost gameplay. I'm not really sure how much of a problem the breakability is, I'd hope it is too hard to do in a gameplay situation but I never really tested it. Well done!
Thanks guys for more great comments on the map! The breakability is becoming a big issue, but I strongly believe that when playing the map with a decent sized party the breakability is not a factor!
I adore this map, the layout and forging in the map is immense and the gameplay was spectacular in a party of 3v3 with some friends and it was very fun indeed. 5/5 great man keep forging will check out your other maps in your sig soon.
Wow, thanks for the message. I'm glad the 3v3 party was fun and the gameplay was good, please do check out my other maps!
I downloaded this map on saturday and have been meaning to comment on it. This map is something special, the pictures look good and the gameplay is no exception insane. I would suggest team based gametypes, FFA was a bit edgy but team capture the flag was intense and amazing. 5/5
it looks like an MLG map very much, if you tweaked the weapon and equipment list, it would be MLG material and would probably be better off in the MLG map section. The map is small but aestheticly pleasing. great job, 4.5/5
I have taken your suggestion into consideration and i still have not made up my mind yet bu i do not think I will do this. Yes this map was made for team based games and gametypes, thanks for the comment.
haha, when I opened this I thought it would be a remake of Pavilion from GOW2 like your map River. Well on to things, aesthetics are really nice, even the weapon placement adds to it. I dont have the time do DL now, but as soon as I do, forge through, and play some slayer, I will rate it. As for the breakability, along with the having no time to get out, whats the point of getting out of the map, then just doing nothing till the game ends? Also, since this map isnt on matchmaking, theres a low chance of playing with idiots.
Lol, if you notice part of the bases is fairly like pavilion from gears lol. Thanks for agreeing with me about the whole escaping map issue! And thanks for the comment!
All maps should be made as hard as possible to get out of, just as a measure of quality. For example on this map, if you jump to avoid a rocket there are places were the rocket could push you out of the map. Then your stuck and have to kill yourself, and thats not fun. Slightly higher walls, or overhangs could solve this. Also the small blocks on top of the wood bridge wall are a little messy. The map is good, but could use some revision.
I could not agree more with you nt, thanks for the comment, this map was not pre-planned and I hit the item limit ad unfortunately the blocks on top of the wooden bridge had to be like that to cover the spot.
The view of the center walkway looks really really sloppy. And it is definitely escapable from a few directions to be seen in that picture alone. Other than that, nice job 7.5/10
Hmm intersesting layout, pretty original. I really like the base, it seems very neat. Like mentioned in many other posts it looks very escapable so maybe you could use some thin wood bridges (Whatever they're called) and float them all around the edge. I'm just not sure theres enough so you might want to use the large ones too. But otherwise 4/5!
wow...this looks so cool and i bet that it plays well, i do see some spots where some tricky jumping could get you out of the map (but that could be fixed with a couple of walls) , but other than that it looks like a pretty sweet map
