This map is amazing. I saw an unfinished version a while back and I've been looking forward to it's release since. Your skills are absolutely jaw dropping. This map is the kind of quality I hope Blockout someday will be, I would love to forge with you and get some pointers.

I finally got a chance to play on it for a bit and it's absolutely perfect. Everything is so well thought out and your map design skills are exceptional. I look forward to future maps from you guys

    5/5

I downloaded this yesterday, and I am honest when I tell you that this is the sickest map I have seen yet on Sandbox. Everything is great. All of the ramps, wedge rails, and Aesthetics are beautiful, yet simple and plain, but the whole map is still technical and seems like something you would be playing in matchmaking. You could just flow through it the whole game. I am definitly gonna keep it on my harddrive. Evevn the post is technical, yet simple and straight to the point. This map is awesome guys, great job.

It's good stuff, man. The community would to well to learn from how well built this map is. This is probably one of the most original layouts I've seen on Sandbox so far. Looking forward to v2.

we just played a 5 man FFA on it also and it was a blast, although... i've noticed in multiple games, right at the start i would spawn next to rocket... not a very fair starting spawn for the other guys hehe, maybe consider adjusting that in v2..

The primary reason for that is we didnt even think people would like to play FFA on it so we never put spawns like that in consideration because in TS you always have the starting spawns in red/blue lift.

Me and Goat have been realizing how many people like FFA on this map so i think its in our best intrest to make a varient for it.

Sorry for the double post but i just want people to know that v1.1 is released

    Download Archaic v1.1

    Version 1.1 Changelog:
Added in bridge between mid and s1
Removed hiding spot behind s1 to s2 jump
Removed nade jump opportunity above s2
Changed timer on red OS to 120 seconds
    Removed column above s2 entrance

Pics will be updated later tonight.

I finally got to play this with Hez a few nights ago and it was gorgeous. Let's break it down...

Archaic's layout is an everlasting utopia of hight elevation. The flow is smooth and very maneuverable. You see a lot of maps these days that look great but run attrociously. But Archaic sports both good looks and a minimalist design with at least two routes into every room or passageway. All of the entrances and transition ramps allow for useful lines of sight for either peak shots or team BR sessions. Archaic functions efficiently in that it does not have one control area, but rather around three or four. It's fun, fast, and great when everyone's connection is above yellow bar. Also, the middle area is filled in with grass. How can you go wrong with that? <(^_^<)

A fine job to the two of you, gentlemen.

*Gives both Hector and Goatnuts a handshake*

First off... Incredible thought and patience were put into this map and it all payed off. Every game I play on this map everyone's reactions are nothing but positive. I , myself, am one of those people and can't wait for your next MLG map. (Is Goatnutts still quiting)

Gameplay 4.8/5 (The skull takes forever to play ball)
    Design: 5/5
    Replayability:4.5/5
    Does it make milkshakes: No

    Final Verdict: 95 A

I admire the many levels on playing height. The one thing that stuck out to me was the tubes though. Possibility for camping?

I really like the look and layout of this map. It's very unique and has it's own sort of personality. My only wish is that you had kept the four floors as I love multi-level maps. Good job though- 8/10 from me.

It was actually only 3 floors and the 3rd floor wasn't even a full floor, hezbolla doesn't know what he's talking about.

    Thanks for the feedback.
