To make this statement properly you must have advanced knowledge of both sides. No offense, but of all people, you shouldn't be one to jump to that conclusion. EDIT: Can't delete this post and merge it with the last post... don't infract :[
First of creationist scientists cant' prove that evolution isn't real, but evolutionists can't prove god isn't real. There are minor flaws in BOTH sides of the story and if you are to actually sit back and objectively analyze ALL of the evidence you will come to the same conclusion as I did which is that they are both in some part correct, I personally believe there is a higher sentient being, weather or not that is god is not up to me to say, but evolution is all about one species adapting to a new environment and after enough adaptions It can be considered a new species, Humans acclimate to climate and lifestyle changes everyday, so is that to say that if you move across the globe, get a tan, a new accent and a new group of friends you are a new species, no. But that takes time. Which no one can determine exactly how long it takes. Recently dinosaurs have been discovered in Africa, real living breathing dinosaurs. Now is that evidence that they were here a million year ago, no, maybe 200 years ago they died, became fossilized and are dug up my evolutionists who because of beliefs think, Oh, **** i found i million year old dinosaur ill be revered. but as you can see this is obviously a contravertial topic such as abortion, torture, and execution and anyone can easily write an essays worth of viewpoints on a single post...
My first statement, learn to write in English. Continued however, no you're wrong. Scientists do not dig up bones and go, oh look, I dug up a dinosaur, therefore because I was taught that it is millions of years old, and require it to be that old to support my belief in evolutionary theory, I shall date it as that old. That's an utter lie and shows complete disdain and lack of knowledge for the field you're discussing. Paleontology and Archeology are two fields that use multiple methods of determining the age of things that we dig up, and digging those things up, these methods are independently verifiable and result in similar conclusions. I'm sure now you'll go off on some spin about how Carbon dating showed a freshly killed seal to be hundreds of thousands of years old, etc. My advice, open up a book, read, then post. Don't go just making claims as if you know something. Because within your post you also created and reinforced the False Dichotomy argument between God v Evolution.
-_- You didn't base your argument off of anything besides "He's obviously outside all dimensions." This statement is based on... ? Faith is nothing but a personal feeling. Those were the rules by the way. Alright, say us folks are in Heaven. We meet God. He says "I'm perfect!" Great, but how do we know he is perfect beyond him saying it? There is no real perfection, except maybe in Halo 3.
I accept the theory of rapid expansion aka Big bang as the most accurate theory we currently have. However, the Big bang deals with how matter, energy, and our universe, came to the state they are in. It does not deal with origins of the matter/energy/universe itself, as it presumes its existence. Last I checked Jupiter was doing fine, then it was struck by a comet, what changed? In reality, things are changing, constantly. Our universe is constantly changing now. Why does one change need such a trigger as your exterior God, while other changes do not?
The condensing of a former universe because of one giant black hole putting everything into one point. Then the entire universe is at this point until its put to the limit and the black hole eats its self and [BOOM] New ever exspanding universe. I don't believe that this universe was the first it may be the billionths universe and the cycle keeps on happening. My brain hurts thinking of all thoughs universes lol.
Then how did the first boom event occur? I guess you could say that the boom cycle is eternal and that would tie into religion a little. You're an excellent debator.
Pathetic. Creation is much easier to understand in lamens terms than evolution. Creation: A dude named God created everything in 6 days Evolution: the change in the genetic material of a population of organisms from one generation to the next. Though the changes produced in any one generation are small, differences accumulate with each generation and can, over time, cause substantial changes in the organisms. This process can culminate in the emergence of new species. Indeed, the similarities between organisms suggest that all known species are descended from a common ancestor (or ancestral gene pool) through this process of gradual divergence
Besides, big bang is irrelevant to Evolution. Infact, Creation should not be set in opposition to Evolution unless referring solely to the creation/evolution of life. Even then, it's Abiogenesis, not Evolution. Essentially the topic of this debate relies on a false dichotomy.
Well, it would take millions of years to evolve, with thousands of years between stages. Evolution could well still be happening, we just haven't noticed. I'm for evolution.
We know evolution is still happening and we have observed it. As I've said many times head over to talkorigins.org Check out their FAQ section which links to hundreds of examples of evolution still occurring.
