I played a map identicle to this on foundry about 10 minutes ago. It was awesome with 5 player ffa slayer with the atart weapons as snipers and brs. This looks like a much cleaner version of the map so well done. But its not original and very basic so 3/5. By the way Runic Aries your review was harsh, even if it is a bit plain.
i have to agree, it looks cool but there is no gameplay to it. i think this should be moved to aesthetic. it looks like if you played it you would just be spawn killed over and over and over again.
I don't think any of you understand the concept, if you've ever played Octagon, then you should know what this is. Octagon is a warmup map that is meant to be played with insta-spawn, it's not supposed to be a crazy special map, it's meant to help you practice; but none of you would probably know that, so I need to calm down. I'm not trying to make it "original" it's not special in ANY way. I mean really! Could I get a someone who understands for once?? EDIT: here's a video to show you what it's all about. Good job I guess, thumbs up for the perfectness of the shape. Maybe since it is meant to be so basic, you could geomerge the blocks that make up the sides, so no grenades get stuck. That is not needed though.
Yes...I have the same thing to say.. the ,map is very plain and although it seems to be fully functional, you should at least add some things into it to make it look good and playable. Overall a 3/5 because it is also kind of slopply made on the top- srry =( Maybe a V2 is in order??
I have a suggestion for all you brats: If the person above you says essentially the same thing that you are going to say, and you have nothing else constructive to add, DONT ****ING POST. Consistently bumping poor maps to the top of the page, and letting good maps drown in the abyss... shame on you all. SHAME.
Rofl...That is exactly the point of this map. I am assuming you have never played on Octagon before. It is for fast action and good reflexes. Octagon is my favorite map to play on and this one looks perfect.
I'm downloading, but then again, I know what this is all about. I'll definitely start using this for my warmups instead of the one on Foundry, because if anything this one does look better. Even though they are essentially the same.
You should add some colored columns to give the inside a little more aesthetics to it, or maybe use some of the end of like double blocks (the green thingy) to give it some more color on the inside. I might have to replace my foundry version if you make this one look nice enough
Wow. Most of you guys probably didn't download this. You also all fail to see the point of the map. It isn't supposed to be some amazing CTF map or anything like that, it is a simple BR arena meant for warming up. It is made to test your reflexes and get you ready to play. Maybe you should consider that before you post. It is well executed for its concept. 5/5.
nice map. hopefully it is as good as the map you forge on foudry where the pros play warmups on live events on. i see that you interlocked very nice. i will take a look at it.
Hey buddy, thats the point of the octagon, except its really hard to do that. If you have never played with five people on the octagon, you will have no idea what I am talking about. Also, the enitre idea behind it was to make an awesome warm up map. Cant you guys see how wonderful this is for training?
