Hey, it worked didn't it? Maybe if the other team clicked on and stopped flooding up the lifts in twos and threes when the top was clearly swarming with enemies then it wouldn't have worked. If I were him, and you were on the other team and you did flame me, I'd respond with "well why did you keep barreling up the P lifts then?" I wouldn't blame people for simply making kills off of the fact that enemies were basically rushing at him with a sword, what do you want him to do, turn around and run away?

I would have personally stuck to my BR a bit more, but not because it's more 'Pro', but because I just enjoy it more. He clearly enjoys rocking the sword, and the other team were laughably happy to comply. I don't think he's saying he's uber pro here, but to be fair his BR was decent when he was using it, and he displayed proper awareness, checking key LOS as he moved around the map. He also stuck to his position on Closed street and P very well, moving around to current enemy hotspots and filling in gaps left by his team. I think he knows a good deal of them were easy kills, but are you gonna blame him for the other team being stupid? I thought it was still pretty entertaining to watch personally. And I too know the pain of being killed one point short of a medal, I also know the pain of being killed with a missile pod, it just feels so...dirty. I feel for you dude, but nice vid, lighthearted and very entertaining imo.

Lol, my posts are always that ranty, don't draw too much from how much I talk on a subject. I know you weren't actually flaming him, and I'm perfectly cool thanks (infact I'm outside in my garden, very cool, even a tad windy). Just making the point, sounded like you were being down on the video even if you weren't conforming entirely to the anti sword lobby.

One thing I can say:
Pick up the sniper. You were low on sword and if you had picked up the sniper, you would have gotten an invincible. Sniper/sword combo works well on Construct because you can watch the lifts and pick people off across the map.

 

I just love how you got taken down by the missile pod, it's like just deserts. After getting so many kills, you go down by one of the most unlikely of weapons to be killed by. Seriously, I completely forget about the missile pod on Construct, it just seems like a "why is that there?" sort of thing.

 

I get killed by that thing waaay to often when I venture out of the MLG playlist, it's gutting every time. Problem is that the rounds it fires are quite large, meaning it's a lot easier to be whacked by one if you're in front of the guy firing and at close-ish range. Close range is basically your enemy against a missile pod, added to what I said above is the fact that the rounds travel very slowly. So basically you want to stay at the outside of optimum BR range and take them down whilst not getting any closer. It makes it so much easier to dodge the rounds and give that foo what they deserve. It's just a pity that the temptation is to run in, instincts say that someone slow and cumbersome like that should be easy to outmaneuver at close range, but those stupid missiles come in to play and ruin everything.

 

Never thought of it like that, the Missile Pod is very misleading I suppose. And again, to reinforce your point, the Assault Rifle and powerful Melee added the instinct to get close for optimal damage, therefor in Slayer without BR starts, the Missile Pod could prove to very problematic for the newly spawned player... Also, most people see the Missile Pod as a Vehicle killer, and that alone. There could be another reason why people charge the carrier for an easy kill. Very good analyzing that, Pegasi. Never would've thought of the slow movement = easier kill instinctive /rant

 

The missile pod has 8 shots and is an instant kill. It's a power weapon!
