I am going to make the Roman Colosseum in Foundry. To make the best map possible for players, I would like to know the features you would like to see in the map.
As titmar, said, make something exciting. This has been done before. Try making something original. The only possible gameplay style for this would be arena. Arena maps are a-dime-a-dozen.
I'll really give you props for this is you are able to replicate the underground parts of the structure. I have personally visited the Colosseum and it is ****ing AWESOME. Do the underground and somehow integrate it into the map, then you are official the epic winsauce of real-life structure replication.
Ah, that's where you forget "We'll survive on this arena." I doubt that he would do something similar to that, however.
I'll give it a try. By the way, to other people that say make something exciting, this isn't the only map I do. I've done a map that replicated a city block (foundry isn't that big). It has buildings and everything.
Why wouldnt you make it on sandbox? the textures fit better and you could make it so much more accurate
Damn that sucks. you had better come with something original, and exciting. Or else it'll become just another arena map...
An aesthetic recreation might be more interesting and have an inescapable pit for the arena. But that might be more budget than you have.
