The Merging looks fantabulous; this map is sure to play very smoothly. What is the best way to merge as you have done (that is, walls and ramps into the floor)? I am keen to know. Thanks.
dude lighten up Ive been reading through your replies to different comments people have made and I know maps are personal things cause they take along time and they are a representation of your creativity but dont take it personally. This forum is for critique sometimes its constructive and actually good ideas, and sometimes its not. Not everyones gonna like it and you should stick to your guns cause you know it best. I like this map alot. We put it in our rotation. SWAT is really good on it although some spawns are easy kills. As for the fusion coils and hog I'm all for it plays great. ManRayX SIETCH HAIL MARY SHADOW-ASSAULT
Hey, Titmar, have you read the other posts in the previous pages about these comments? Because if you didn't, you're certainly going to get it. The author's been over this how many times, & it's starting to get on his last nerve, I think.
Version 1.1 Removed every vehicle besides the ghost that spawns in asymmetrical gametypes Changed the location of the sniper rifle on the defender side during symmetrical gametypes Changed the location of the shotgun during asymmetrical gametypes Fixed the defender man cannon lift so that it shoots you farther Fixed some spawns that were facing the wall Fixed the lift underneath the defender base to work more often Patched a hole on the top of the defender base Tweaked some spawn points to be facing different directions Updated the chicken coop to be lower to the ground and more flat Patched a hole in the chicken coop A lot of changes have been made during the recent update. So many that I almost called the map Celestial v2 and posted a different thread in the competitive maps section. But seeing as this was necro'd to the first page, I thought I would request that you forget it was ever necro'd, and to pretend this is an entirely new thread. Although I will not update the pictures to show the changes, because they aren't too noticeable. They will effect gameplay heavely, and I took every comment into consideration. But of course I did not remove a single fusion coil, for they are cleverly placed and to remove a single one would turn everything into a catastrophe. If this thread is locked and deleted, I will merely label this Celestial v2 and create an entirely new thread about it, because that's how awesome I am.
It would seem that crypt would be a little too small to fit Warthogs into gameplay. There are a lot of explosives also... would make gameplay hectic because grenades are usually used a ton, putting fusion coils everywhere makes the map a giant bomb.
Beautiful. This map looks great, both ascetically and gameplay wise. I think this is one of the best crypt maps I have seen to date, the gameplay appears to be intriguing especially with the original layout of the map. I think one of its divining factors is definitely the multi levelled combat and objective positioning. Very nice map still. Keep forging.
Seeing as I'm typing from my iTouch right now...this post might not come out how I want it to. But my internet has been down for the past three days. There are no longer any vehicles on Celestial besides the one ghost that spawns only in asymmetrical gametypes. I'm sorry for not editing the weapon list in the OP but the most recent thing that happened was the fight with Sarge. Ever since then I've had no Internet because my Dad can't pay the bill.
How is this possibly at 3 stars? The ideas and layout of this map are fantastic. It is possibly the best one sided objective map I have seen so far. The mancannons are awesome; they will throw you a different distance depending on how you hit them so it is crucial to hit them correctly in order to get the flag over the wall.
