No, I think you're the one who has to think. How can a rusher not do those things? In Halo Wars, most units are cheaper then defenses. Unless your using units to defend in which case the non-rusher is wasting so much potential.
You are failing to make a valid point here. A rusher spends all of there money within the first seconds of the game to produce there units. A rusher can easily do the same but chooses to set up a defense first.
Correction: An all-in rusher spends all their money at the start. The Grunt rush I showed in this topic is an all-in rush. You don't have an understanding of how a rush works. A rush is to get your enemy in their base and defending or to build useless units. For example, a rush I used a while a go was to send the Leader with blessd imo at the start. This did two important things. My teammate built up his base and my enemies stopped building Warthogs and instead building Flamers. They pushed Regret out and then I sent in the Wraiths. See what happened?
Well it took about 99% of ure money for blessed imo, the factory, warehouses, temple, wraiths, and any upgrades. Thanks for again defending my point
500 for Temple. Ghost collect enemy resources. Regret collect local resources. 3 Warehouse. Once Regret's finished up, send him to the enemy. Upgrade Blessed Imo. I have eco and a strong army.
You make a good point telrad. what I do is make 4 warehouses and upgrade to citidal and get all local resources and build up a hall. By the time all of that is done, I build some grunts and then build a temple. Then I start cranking out warehouses and hunters. Once I get 5 or 6 squads I destroy the hall and create a factory to get wraiths. once I do that I destroy the factory to build a summit and get banshees. All during that, I'm upgrading my warehouses (about half of them) and I have two turrets. I then attack with a full army and If they have a strong defense, I start rebuilding my units with leftover resources so by the time they attack back, I will have my full army again. Then I will go for another base. Thats my rush
Dude, you know ****. That Regret will take out more then his fair share of units before reinforments need to be there. And they don't even need to be there for 5 minutes.
so ure saying in the time it takes you to get a temple, supplys, and blessed imo I will have......nothing? Your regret is not invincible
No but he's damn well distracting. 100 worth of cleans will kill ny turret. 3 Blessed Imo will kill any Hog and the slightest lapse in micro will get the Warthog cleansed. Any buildings going up? Gone. In the time it takes you to get him out, the approriate counter to your unit is out.
So, reading is only for n00bs. Seriously, learn to read. Did I say Regret is invincible? I said he was distracting. And he is. Why wouldn't he be? He can take out most infantry in two or three shots. Light units will die quickly if unmicroed. And yes, the beam is anti-everything but it's slower then Marines. What's wrong with a topic evolving?
thanks for being supportive Dow. And we are talking about how Terlard's rush is so superior to the vulture rush. so we are talking about the rush Well it seems like regret can take out 2 turrets and some other units like worthogs, marines, cyclopses, gremlins, etc. pretty quickly if ure using him
Of course you could. It takes no special micro. Cyclopses are melee so standard back-and-shoot will take them out. Gremlins have papier mache for armor. Marines don't go against anything, end of. Warthogs can be a contender in large numbers but they need to be microed so that they don't get cleansed. And turrets are pathetic in this game. It might fend off a small rush but if you take into account you spent 500 to fend off a few Warthogs that will just run and do something somewhere else, it's pathetic.
Well I'd like to see a blessed imo Regret take on 5 or 6 gremlins, 10 or 11 marines, 7 or 8 worthogs, etc. You wont win ever if you think a blessed imo regret will take down these kinds of defenses. And you gravely underestimate the power of a turret
Do you even play Halo Wars? 5, 6 Gremlins against Regret. That's a massacre. 10 or 11 Marines? Another massacre. 7 or 8 hogs. Sure, that'd do some damage. At what cost? 2 Warthogs and you don't even kill the prophet. Or, reinforcements arrive. In most 1v1 maps, the enemy will have at least 5 hogs out. That's not enough to completely take out Regret. I don't think I am underestimating turrets. Turrets are near useless against powerful units and concentrated power. Regret is both of these.
I wonder the same thing about you. 5 or 6 gremlins, 10-11 marines, 5-6 hogs, if they were all backed by 2 turrets ure invincible regret wouldn't be so invincible
5-6 hogs no doubt. What makes me think that you've never played Halo Wars is the fact that your building 10-11 Marines or 5-6 Gremlins that soon into the game. Also, he's still distracting. Try to get those Hogs out of that base before Wraiths, Banshees or Jackel-Hunters arrive.
