Map Callouts

The idea of callouts is to let everyone know where action is happening quickly. You don't have to use official ones, the first thing that comes to your head is probably the best thing to use when your in a game.

Things like 'Rocket spawn' or 'Sniper Tower' are obvious and aren't code names which people may get confused with.
Unlike Lockout, which had the Sniper Tower, BR Tower and Lift, which were fine, but then for some reason the room above the Sword was the 'Library'.

Just stick with the obvious. Its easier for everyone on the game (unless you shout something like AR SPAWN! or PLASMA SPAWN!)

I just use basic callouts, the only one I actually took some time and looked into that I can think of was the tower sides on The Pit. Saying 'our tower' or 'their tower' was difficult, and players could easily go to the wrong tower. Now, 'north/south tower' can do the same, but the people that I play with and use callouts most with know which are which. On The Pit though, we use obvious ones. I bet you know all of these locations;

North/South Rocket Spawn, South/North Sniper Spawn, South/North Tower, Sword Room Centre, Sword Room Edge, OS Spawn, Main Hall, Main Hall Top, South/North Flag Spawn, South/North Windows, and South/North Camo(Invis) Hall.

They're all obvious and clear to most players, though the South/North may get confusing to those who haven't taken an AR and checked it out. Don't worry about 'official' callouts. I've often found that the official ones are pretty useless to try and memorize.

 

For symmetrical maps, I usually say "our" or "their" _______. It works well and is easy to remember on Onslaught, Narrows, The Pit, or Amplified (on Amp and Onslaught I call out Red and Blue, but this works too if you remember what side you spawn on).

If none of those maps are actually used in the MLG playlist (and I don't believe any of them are), then I'm sure everyone else is just as clueless about the callouts as you are.

BR1, BR2, BR3, Red 1, Red 2, S1, S2, S3, Shotty, Side Room, Top Mid, and Bottom Mid are sufficient on Blackout. At least in my opinion.

 

The pit is in MLG.

So are all of those. In fact as far as I'm aware Amplified was specifically designed for MLG playlist, though I may be mistaken on that.

That mission was from Halo 1 though. Did it have lots of shelves in it (not necessarily shelves with books on though)

Yes, the 'Library' is an actual place on the Halo rings where the Index is kept, we were wondering what that has to do with Lockout's Library.
