    Your overly defensive attitude is cute and all, but I was only suggesting lightening up on the long range weapons. You can do what ever you want. But, if you're gonna post a map you're gonna get feedback, good and bad. Being conceded because you think your map is the best in the land doesn't do you or your map justice.

    Regardless, good job. I look forward to playing it again.

    how many spawns are there around the base of the pyramid? maybe some tweaking of the spawns around there could help out in games.

    I don't mind feedback at all, it helps me get better "skilled" at forging. But it seems like your not liking my feedback. I was just trying to get some clarity through what you were saying to do to the map; and I am aloud to disagree with you.

    I have shown no attitude, just trying to make sense of what you are saying. I never have once said my map was good, the only thing I ever strive for is to make my next map better, and I think I achieved that. You can give all the feedback you want, it's fine with me. I'm just asking you to be more specific.

    As far as the Long Range weapons (Sniper Rifle and Laser) go, they will stay for now, because the laser evens out against the vehicles and the sniper is at each base, giving each team the opportunity to use it against guys on the pyramid.

    I could post spawns around the pyramid, but I'm worried that they may get used to frequently and I don't like the idea of one spawning on top of the laser, ghost, or rockets.

    yea i get what your saying. i dunno just seems like maybe some tweaking could help improve some things

    We'll try some different variations tonight. One of the games will be without laser. I could add more spawns but, not really a spot to add anymore except around/inside the pyramid and I don't see that going well. It would be like putting spawns on the hill in Valhalla.

    a version with out laser might help things out about camping top of pyramid because thats basically one less sniper. maybe put hammer in its place or just put a bubble shield there or something.

    This is a good map. I will try to explain what I am saying a little more clearly. there are a few things that you could do to help make combat more close range in games like king of the hill.

    -You could remove 4 battle rifles from the map.
    -I wouldn't remove the sniper, but I would maybe limit the clips to 0 or 1 and set the spawn time to three minutes, or make the sniper so it doesn't spawn at start.
    -The laser wasn't really much of a problem, I'd leave it alone.
    -I had no complaints with the spawns either. I'd leave them be.
    -If you do some of these changes, try playing with AR starts. Could help, could hurt. You never know.

    I will give it some playtests tonight. I agree with maxing out the respawn of the sniper. A couple have said the laser is to overpowering and that the hogs are balanced enough due to all the cover, so i will try it without the Laser. I will probably increase the respawn time to 45 secs on the BR (instead of 20-30secs). I don't like the idea of taking 4 out, because it narrows down where to pick one up.

    I thought the laser was fine. It helps balance out the ghost imo while the 2 hogs cancel each other out. Maybe increase the respawn timer slightly on it. For the snipers, I'd say limit it to 1 extra clip. The spawn locations seemed fine.

    I have never seen such a good symetrical map i played on it and i love the middle structure i think its awsome!!

    Version 1.2 posted.
    BR's respawn at 45 sec. Sniper at 180 sec. Laser removed and the grav lift has been put in its' place to add another way to get ontop of the pyramid.

    The Laser isn't used simply as a vehicle destroyer, so saying its useful for vehicles is only half the issue. People use it half the time on infantry anyways. If you don't believe me, go play Squad Battle in Valhalla, Last Resort, Standoff, or Sandtrap. The best use of a Laser is Avalanche, because the vehicles run quite rampant there, and out of the big team maps, it provides the most cover.

    You could plant a power drainer at each base, a Brute Shot, Missle Pod, or two more plasma grenades and that's more than enough anti-vehicle power than a Spartan Laser, which causes more frustration out of games than any other weapon.

    Laser has been removed with the update version on 1.2 and a grav-lift in its place. We'll do some playtesting tonight with it. The grav-lift, when thrown at the top part of the ramp near its' spawn, will get you to the top of the pyramid.

    Wow this is the kind of post forgehub needs more of. I'm glad I got to play with you the other night on this map and hope the in game footage goes over well. I have to say it was a blast and I was really anoid when I had to leave after three games. I definitely think you've got a good shot at atlas and the effort in this incredible post only reflects your obvious effort in creating the map. One of the best CTF maps ive played on right up there with Utah Mambo Ill cross my fingers this makes it to MM.

    Yea that might be a good idea when a sniper got hold of the spartan laser it was a bit frustrating and with plenty of rockets it will probably play well better or worse not sure but hey that's why you test it.

    PS: I think Im in the pick up picture and push over picture but im not sure about the pick up do to the paste of the odst armor over the actual players if you dont know off the top of your head don't worry about it.

    Feature I think this could go all the way to MM I wish I could be part of the tests but I stupidly thought I was going to be busy tonight and loaned my halo away. Words cant express the frustration. Id be glad to be part of any further play testing in the near future I had a blast last night.

    Yeah, we gave it alot of play testing last night! The new setup works very well and creates alot more traffic on the map. I might add more spawns in ver 1.4, don't know.

    For version 1.3, I deleted 2 Br's, Added two carbines, two magnums, and 2 frags in the pyramid. The Pyramid also went under some structual change. I extended out the front and back of the second level and made the top of the chute wider to take away from people getting caught on the overhang. Hope you all like the changes!

    Wow. This map looks beautiful. The picture effects are amazing, and I would download it just for that. Everything looks very original, and will surely be a blast to play on. Can't wait to get a game going on it.

    While completely using shiny images for the first post looks nice, it does make quoting things from your first post much more difficult. Just saying.

    Somebody always complaning about something, it looks nice, it's stupid. It's cool, its not. oh well, can't make everyone happy... I'm sure I can remember what is on my first page and that you wouldn't need to quote me. Just saying...
