Sandbox forges. Created by Disq and DaddyMassive [Maps and Games] Asteroids is a game just like the old classic 'Asteroids'. You all spawn on an island surrounded by towers that shoot fusion coils at you, your objective is to try to stop the fusion coils from hitting you, by either shooting them or dodging them and aim to rack up points by staying in the hill. The hill does move so be on your toes. First person to reach 100 wins. Fusion coils are fired from any angle so be prepared. Also you cannot kill anyone else, if you do it is -10 points. Uncontested Hill = 2 points per second Contested Hill = 1 point per second 4x Bubble Shields 4x Deployable Cover 1x Regenerator 1x Gravity Lift You spawn with a Battle Rifle and a Sniper Rifle. pretty cool. seems very much like the original asteroids. maybe a little less cover, though. overall 4.5/5. very originl, you've got a dl from me.
Pros: Very original idea. I like the forge set-up with the towers, as well as you have to shoot down the fusion coils. The point system also makes it for a challenging game. Cons: Maybe a little less cover, because 4 bubble shields seems a bit much, especially if you have a lot of people, they could all take cover in them.
I see what you mean with the cover and all that, although bubble shields can sometimes easily be broken. However I will update it, and test it properly for a v2. Thanks for the comment
Like James said this is very original idea. I we most likely DL. This is just like the original asteriods. I also like the towers they are a nice aspecic of the map. 2 bubble sheild would do better. 4.5/5
Appreciate the feedback. Yeah i see now that having 2 would be better, I'll release that and maybe some extra features in v2. Also DaddyMassive came up with the idea of a replica of the game asteroids, so give him kudos for that. lol
great idea, but i dont understand the shape of the towers, you could make floating asteroids, but anyways, its a pretty solid map and gameplay looks awesome. i saw a map like this, and weapons of any value spawned at times, eg start with plasma pistol, (dodging only) 20 sec- then a magnum spawns, 45 sec - then a bubble sheild 8/10
Its an interesting idea not the greatest mini game ive ever seen but hay I might DL. I do gotta say though the smiley faces are a little cheesy. Overall a novel idea but i dont see it as a game that i would want to play over and over.
this map looks neatly forged but the bubble shields are used to much the game is very challenging but original keep up the good work.
I'm thinking of making it more interesting, like maybe something in the towers.. not too sure though. Any suggestions?
