Well... I might as well contribute. One-way windows (entrance in, but not out) Used in The Last Day __________________________________________________ Shield Door Pool (crouch for protection, great for infection games) Used in Kinsythe __________________________________________________ Underground Tunnel System (Might not be the best choice for competitive maps, but still really cool) Used in Water Temple Going in Underground Coming back out Note: Because the window panel goes into the open box, it makes a small platform that can be used to jump out. Otherwise, it would not work or look the same. __________________________________________________ Umm... yeah, don't really have much else to post. My specialty is in infection maps so I thought I'd add some to the list, like these, that are helpful to gameplay. I also gave the links to the maps that used the structures for reference to their use.
I'm probably gonna change it to a white power up, so that it looks better. Oh, and you also get a sneak peak of my map, sortof.
ok every boby i need an idea on how i could put all the pictures to gether but not mess up the forum because all i can post in one reply is 20 pictures. do you think i should make a slide show? also i might be updating on the first.
You could possibly use a photobucket account designed specifically to showcase the structures with an album linked to the front page. You can use the first posts of this thread to highlight the best structures presented so far, or show examples of structures useable for different gametypes. I'm sure that would work, seeing as you only have one post left reserved for pictures.
How'd the person make that "perfect window?" I can't seem to find anything in the list in forge that is basically a chain-linked fence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
lmao i thought that that was sorta a given, oh well but yes as STWOW said it is the top of a fence box, the other ends are in the double boxes and the floor, but i geuss i should post how to make it for that picture. any way i think what i shall do is that i will use GIF or something like that to make a slide show like i did for my siggy. so thanks guys for all the help.
Hey this is a post of a map that I had created long ago and I have it up for grabs and I have a lot of aesthetic touches to it. I hope you like http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-discussion/68273-unfinished-map-up-grabs.html#post847920
here are some fresh new ones i haven't seen before thanks to... yeah that guy above this post. just kidding kilamanjara- -14izback im kinda afrade that the second picture you might be able to walk under crouching.
actually in the second picture u don't even have to crouch, it's just there to give cover from someone on the other side if you are walking around
I was forging a map with a winding staircase, and I thought i' d just post it here. and another look at it You could notice from the pics that the steps of the stairs overlap, making a bump when walking on the stairs. If I did not overlap the steps, and made a nice, smooth staircase, the turn of the stairs would be way too large for the map I was making. I covered the overlapping up by using 2 colomn, large.
i'll be using that in my next map well the idea at least, i had seen it done in Purgatory but your's looks alot nicer. =0
The slide shows only give you a quick second to look at the pictures. Is there any way you could make the slideshow longer and show the pictures for like, 5 or 10 seconds each? Right now it only shows them for like 2 seconds.
He could try and show each pic twice in the slide show there would be a flash in the middle but there would be more time to view each pic. I really like this thread, im not a big fan of using other's ideas but ill probably come back here when I have forger's block from now on good job.
I absolutely love this thread. It's given me some wonderful ideas for forging. Thanks greatly for creating this extensive and helpful architecture list redeyesmaster
you should change the pictures back to just pictures instead of GIF images because u can barely see them.
