Cool Idea but I dont see any geomerging or interlocking. And it seems a bit open. If you dont know how to geomerge or interlock visit forging 101. That should help you make a better v2. Another structer like a tower or something on the sword side would make it less open and better. Also you may want to change the name. Theirs a map called Industries thats been featured.
Is every one retarded. Maps don't need interlocking to be good. But maps do need cover and I see none in your map. How do you get to the sniper tower? The shield door room can be easily camped by the shotty guy. This map doesn't even look halfway done I'm sorry to say. It actually looks mediocre to tel you the truth. Sorry, but the wide area with no cover is perfect for the sniper. Ijust don't like it. Oh well. Better luck next time.
Thanks for the idea. i was planning on that for V2. i was also planning for adding KotH. This was an early map of mine and i didnt know how to interlock, let alone geomerge. I know now. I'm gonna add alot for V2.
i would have to agree with SV33T SAUC3, little cover, and really open. since you know how to geomerge now, it would help out with the map, people are really jumpy about that. but its a interesting way you have the map layed out. maybe for the v2, alos have wepon layouts taht could also be affective, along with a pretty good complete overview(if wanted) good job with the map though
this map is terrible looking , looks like it took 5 minutes to make and it prob. took longer to put on forgehub.. scrap map and restart.. i give it a -5 out of 5.... lol the shot gun tunnel , what were u thinking that is horrible.... lol lol lol wow worst map of the year award
I disagree... The conveyer belt (bad spelling) looks at least decent if not good. IT does have great pettential. 3/5 (due to what could be improved cant wait V2)
Listen, keep at it. Don't let all these guys beat you up. They TRASHED my map. But really, I don't care. The game play is what matters.
the map looks good if you were just starting out your forging career and if it is as you say an old map then i hope your skills have improved. and to bloogyo, i think people have trashed your map because it deserved it. if you or anyone else wants to see my comments on it, then here is the link, not for advertising purposes but to use as an example.
to start, this isn't the greatest map. i guess you're pretty new to forging. don't worry about the negative comments, people beat the **** out of my second post. some things you can fix: the spawns look badly placed, and it looks like a lot of spawn killing could result form it. the map is basically empty, besides that sideways truck which doesn't make much sense. if you are going for aesthetics, try to make it look more realistic. kk, final score time. post: 5/10 [very little description and pictures were taken in forge- this shows how badly placed the spawn points are] pictures: 7/10 [taken in forge, and no action pics] map: 4/10 [multiple errors that subtract from gameplay] gametype: n/a [not counted towards final score] forging: 6.5/10 [i see some interlocking, and i like how you blocked the rest of the map off] orginality: 6.5/10 [many new forgers create this generic style of map] final score: 5.8
This map has potential, but it's not being used greatly. The center's a bit open, and it could use a little more interlocking. Also, the shotgun tunnel would be better geomerged.
Well i've seen a few comments already about "no interlocking" and clearly in the thirs picture you can see the fence wall interlocked with the single open box and the two stair cases are interlocked together to make an amazing looking walkway :] Good job, A bit open, would suggest more cover or even a center structure
