Hey thought i would share this, like before on foundry this is done in the middle section of sandbox. You have to set a block to not respawn at the start, choose 20 seconds , give your self enough time to get under it. After the time has past move about and you will be pushed under, but don't forget to turn into the monitor straight away or you will be pushed up. If you are having problems put over blocks at the sides and back in a |_| shape. I would like to know if anyone knows of any other ways, how to get items under as i can only pull through the blocks through the gaps. Also anyone know any good glitches to get other things through ect..
I'm not sure. At first I'd say its not possible. On Foundry the floor is not the bottom of the map, there are those pipes down the centre which can be seen through the grating, the floor you see uder them is the bottom of the map and when going through the floor you can survive in the tiny gap between. Sandbox doesn't have that, its solid all the way to the Crypt. However, I have managed to slip an object through the floor and it sort of just stayed there. I couldn't delete it, I wasn't even 100% sure if it hadn't been automatically deleted anyway and I just miscounted the number of objects I could see on my map. I doubt you can do the Foundry technique on Sandbox, mainly because of the floor reason.
Before you go under the map, interlock an object with the box that is pushing you under so that it's teardrop (blue dot) is on the ground. Proceed to go under the map. When you are under, double press X on all of the dots until you see the name of the object that you want under the map. Then, without moving your aim or Monitor-ball, grab that blue dot. The object should go completely under the map, allowing you to use it as you wish. Edit: You can go under the map on Sandbox, and you can bring objects under.
I would honestly think the floor under sandbox wouldn't be 100% solid, I figured it would be just the necessary floor, roof for the crypt, and walls around the crypt drop. I would think they would want to minimize on unnecessary stuff because of the sheer size and available complexity in sandbox.
Actually, the inside of the geometry of Sandbox is NOT Solid. I once geomerged a tin cup using the off-host double tap method, and accidentally let got of the cup. The cup fell through the floor, and when I later looked at the ceiling of the crypt, the flag of the cup was sticking out of the ceiling.
Actually, you may be able to use the space between the middle level on sandbox and the crypt for maps. When you are under there, there is essentially a void of scenery under there, meaning that when you look outwards, you see spazmatic groovy colors. I could see this very handy for 'House of Horror' maps and such.. maybe infection too. You can use any map for infection, or can you >.>... But yeah, you can go under there human form and not die (last time I checked), so it can be used for maps. Keep in mind, that objects (and people?) only survive when they are on the roof of the crypt, so you'll have to build your groovy map on top of the crypt portion (which we all know is quite grande)
