Games Recommended: CTF, Assault, Hitman, Team Slayer Castle Thrashers is designed primarily to provide a different feel of a symmetrical style map. Two bases, similar to Blood Gulch sit across from each other with multiple ways to each base in such a small package, making objective style games fresh and exciting everytime you take the flag or plant the bomb. Designed after 2 14th Century Castles to form this mammoth of a hybrid are the Lancaster castle and Ravensworth Castle. Inside, there i a building with 2 floors, bases on the left and right, a bridge/entrance and a giant radio antenna. Each base has 2 floors, and contains 4-5 different ways of entrance. This map was also based around a special little gametype called Hitman, in which zombies are human/targets and the human is the Hitman. The job of the Hitman is to kill as many targets as possible without being discovered. All targets can ONLY be killed by a headshot or assasination, but the Hitman can die from a mere 2 BR shots! (he has 50% DR). I did borrow the castles from Socratic Method, so credit to Predcide for that. I'm not sure if you meant it, but it looks almost like a copy of Socratic Method. It looks nice, though. The towers are a little crooked, but I like the look of destruction all over the map. Maybe a 4/5
Hmmm, aesthetically, it looks really quite good, and, the only improvement for that might be to use the coloured orbs to give some good lighting effects on the different bases. I think that might make gameplay better, as it adds a certain feeling to the playing. As you know, I can't play on it yet, so I can't review the gameplay of it, but, it does look like a bit of fun. If maybe a bit open in the middle, but then it would have to be slightly open for the sniper to have a bit of an advantage. (What is the clip on the sniper.) Apart from that, it looks good, though personaly I prefer your other map, though it is good, and I'll make sure I'll get a few games on it when I get back off my holiday on wednesday. I'm giving it a 4/5, because I think it could be improved, but it is looking really good at the moment. - My rating may change after I've played it. Keep up the good forging. =]
Sadly, i unknowingly used a broken canvas and once i reached about $300 budget, i couldn't anything else=[. So, to improve anything any further, i'll need to delete something in return. Sniper has 1 clip, and is used frequently on the map, it's in a similar place like on Vahalla. EDIT: Should i make a video of the map?
You can make a video if you want, it really depends on whether you think it will help or not. As for the broken canvas - unlucky, its a shame, though I don't think alot needs improving anyway, so, thats good. Yes, I can see what you mean by the valhalla-sniper connection, it does seem as if that would happen. (What's the respawn time?)
