Eh, I personally feel like the fatigue meter is the best choice. I was skeptical when I heard about it, but after playing with it, it was definitely the best choice. This allows you to push back all the zombies around you quickly, and then fire, instead of bashing some off and shooting them and repeating 2-3 times. Also, I tested last night, it comes down to exactly 5 melees before the fatigue meter kicks in.
i find the main problem now is, it reloads slower when you're melleeing, which forces you to mellee more and use more time so you get hit in the back more and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
How long does it take to reload though? I mean after the bar reloads, do you get another 5 hits before it shows up again?
I'm not sure that was harder to test. If you get the fatigue meter to show up and wait 3-4 seconds and bash you may get two in before the meter shows up again. But if you wait maybe 10 seconds you may have all 5 back.
Hm, that's interesting, because I was under the impression that each bar=1 melee, and after that one disappears, it is still reloading 4 more, but you don't actually see it reload. Therefore, it is always auto-reloading the number of hits you use, though you don't actually see it. Off topic: Survival is fun, but without some achievements, it probably won't last too long.
