Wow this map looks amazing, looks challenging and really fun. Don't think there are any improvements. 5/5. By the way did you realise that you have a mention on the bungie front page now? Congratulations.
checkpoints you say? hmmmmmmmmmmm, give me a second OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOUR MY BESTEST FRIEND AND I WANT TO HUG YOU BUT THEN YOU'D FILE A RESTRAINING ORDER ON ME AND FORGEHUB WOULD RAPE ME IN MY SLEEP!!!! Sorry bout that. I still have nightmares about the one on blackout, how i would always get to the ball part, then fail miserably every time. i spent hours trying to get past it, and when i did? i died on the victory jump. The new golf ball part made me cry. Do you speand your time thinking of ways to torture us? I mean, why did you put the hardest part at the end? What would happen if someone got there and died, like i will? Think of the sadness you have caused them because...... You know what, i'm just going to save myself the time and skip over it in forge.... Seriously now, i loved the first to maps and this one looks even better. Also it's not dark, so thats a pluss
The first one was short enough that it didn't really need any.. but the second one should have had checkpoints. It was just too long and too difficult to be fun. Even just one checkpoint would have made a huge difference.. To your first question.. yes do you mean the very end of the golf ball part, with the narrow beam? You actually don't have to navigate all the way to the end of that beam like I did in the picture. The platform you jump to is close enough to pretty much skip that beam. Yeah, that was my biggest gripe with Blackout. I did not want to use filters, and so the map was just dark. I'm much happier with sandbox!
This map looks amazing!! I also like how you set up the parts of the map under the killzone forcing you to stay on the golf balls. And you're cruel to force some1 to go on a thin beam with a golf ball. LOL
I was playing this today with 3 other people. Final score was -629 Amazing map lol. We only go to the soccerball maze and i fell.
My friend and I just played on this. The map is awsome, probably the best jumping map on sandbox and mabey even any map. The golf ball part has to be impossible though. My friend and I were able to complete everything but that and the mongoose part. Overall a little too hard but 5/5
You are officially, in my eyes, the best jumping map maker ever. The whole Flaming Ninja series was so much fun and now that you released this, me and my friends might stay up the whole night to try finishing this. I admire all your changes to the series including: 1. Teleporters are placed unevenly now. 2. More advanced "ball riding". 3. Checkpoints. And a whole lot more. Your maps are all inspirations to us especially the aspiring forgers who aim to make an awesome trick jumping map like yours. Bravo. FEECHURE RYT NAO OR ELS.
OMG I tried this map and it is hard as balls. The maze where u go around on a golf ball is extremely hard. Also how do u get past the part with the teleporters? I think ur supposed to use the them as trampolines, but it seems to never work. ((( The killball is also another part I don't know how to get past.
I have successfully beat it with no help! I have the video. It took over 2.5 hours! I will be putting it in the fileshare of zC r o o K e D. The golf ball was my favorite part as well as the mongoose section. The video! (If you really want to watch it...)
Pete, I am very critical of maps. Especially when it comes to the trash coming out on Sandbox. Everyone is just taking their very old ideas and rehashing them on Sandbox. It all seems so... 2 dimensional. By that I mean nothing seems at all original and everyone is taking the same old crap that they can do on Foundry and redoing it on Sandbox. Nobody is even attempting to make use of what Sandbox can do... until this map. This map is the Sistine Chapel to everyone else's pre-school finger paintings. Mind you that I never really play these obstacle course maps... especially with other people because too many people try to mess you up. I have never before seen and in some cases known the abilities of some items and effects that you have used in this map. Fortunately, while I was taking a break on my Hoth Planet map, I learned the fine art of log riding the golf ball. I didn't know that meleeing the golf ball would get you past the joints, though. That whole section is ingenius. The teleporters... had me baffled until I witnessed a friend do it. I had no idea of the physics involved in teleporter travel. Simply incredible use of it... although the placement can be quite confusing with that being near the forge teleporter taking you to the ground level. The kill ball with bubble shield... incredible. This map is extremely challenging and innovative. It's nearly impossible to do in Forge. I couldn't imagine attempting this map in slayer without being able to go back to the point where you left off. Never before have I seen a map using the items and the map itself to this magnitude... and probably rarely ever again. Giving this map a 10/10 rating on Bungie seems insignificant to what it really deserves. This map is the standard by which all obstacle courses should/will be judged... and most likely fail miserably. Very well done!
Probably one of the best challenge maps, the best part is easily the golf ball thing cause it's so original, definitely a dl from me
IMO number 2 was the best, especially with the mini-game, but the whole series is really fun and challenging and me sad there is no more
I never download these obstacle maps because I always become aggrivated. But the use of checkpoints is kind of nice, so I will download this.
In hindsight, I think #2 had some problems. It NEEDED checkpoints--it was just too long and hard to do in one go. I personally never made it from start to finish, and I built it! The other problem was the reverse slide. If you weren't host, it was difficult to get the momentum to work right. The whole concept behind this series was that it was meant to be playable online with your friends, and that kind of killed it. I was happy with the extra stuff I put in #2--the hidden bubble shields and minigame. I ran out of forge objects in #3, so I wasn't able to do all the extra stuff again.. the structure that the final obstacle is in was supposed to be far more cosmetic.. but oh well!
Oh my god! I was so happy when i saw your latest flaming ninjas map. I beat the first 2 with no problem then i always frustrated my friends by having them do it not in forge =] This one is your best and most creative yet. Because of you id say i am the forger i am now. Keep up the great work. map 10/10 challenge 15/10 neatness 10/10
It looks a lot harder than the Blackout one was. I'll give it a shot. The map looks clean, but smoothness doesn't define a jump map. Design does. I'll give it a hardness scale between 1 and 10 when I DL it (10 if I couldn't complete half of it)
