ok as every body who has seen sandbox knows you cant go out side like you can in sandtrap so i am throwing out a challenge for a map to stop those pesky lasers, if you can find a way to not get killed out there post it here P.S. one thing i have noticed when i am out there the three towers across from you shoot not the ones near you so if you were to jame up the middle you could potentialy stop the lasers i am making mine right now i hope to see this take off and look good see you out there
This has already been done multiple times, sorry to rain on your parade but if you search around you'll find one. This is the one I use: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=67659294
Instead of making a huge circle in the middle, block each laser tower with one wall. Done, saved 1000 dollars.
thank you for giving me the map i looked around for a while but never found one that worked and i have tried the one wall at each but it didnt work if i can get it all the way out there it dissapears after a while
If you can't find a map that works for you either, there's another solution. Keep in mind that the towers can only shoot one thing at once, and they take priority regarding any person that is farthest away from the tower. In an example, there are two people in your game.. you and your controller, and a spare controller controlled by you. Simply get somebody as far out as you can into the death zone.. and then you'll be free to forge in the dunes without worrying about getting shot at, that's how I made my skull map, "Sandbox Skull". It has a base centered around the skull, and I was able to easily build it by having two controllers plugged into my box at once.
Just download the map here. It doesn't have stuff in the middle to block the line of site, so it saves you objects. It also only uses like 1 object per tower, so you have it good there. The towers are just blocked with y-intersections. Easy peazy.. Or an even easier method that only requires one controller. Just set a trip mine to spawn instantly, and keep tossing it near the crypt hole. After awhile, the pile of trip mines will blow up, and the towers will stop working. This is called overloading the map.
