    (Note: Game is preferred by me personally. You can use any infection game you want. As long as no one can jump too high..that ruins the fun)


    Overview:
    1. The History.

    The original intent of this map was to attempt to replicate "The Hive" (Resident Evil reference for those unknowing) to my best ability. That idea was quickly tossed and in it's place I developed this. While the general design is the same (lots of hall ways..down a shaft..etc..) it is not quite like the original idea.
    The fairly cliche story of the map (Hey..I said it was based off Resident evil) involves your team being dropped off to make sure what ever happened in one of your companies facilities is to be fixed. you are dropped off at the point your last team was at. Getting the remaining weapons left behind you find the broken elevator shaft and hop down. The only light available is from the "data stores", random emergency lights, and the two "cores" located at different areas of the facility, both with a different purpose.
    Most of the facility is destroyed, leaving only a couple usable areas...watch your back....
    2. The Layout
    Human Starting Area

    The humans begin above ground in what is left of an old path, some weapons and other things are available at spawn. You make your way over and can either go straight down the hole or go pick up some of the other weapons left there by..someone. By that point you drop down the shaft and are greeted by two red lights before hitting the floor below...

    Infected Starting Area

    The infected start underground in the Facility in front of their "core". A viewing window (protected of course) can be seen near the spawn. A Teleporter transfers the infected to an area above the sky that was going to be a "new addition" to the facility, before walking through the next Teleporter and getting sent to a random location.

    General Area
    The entire map, at least underground, is based around watching your back and being alone. The teleporters will transport you to other random hallways causing you to be split from the rest of your team fairly early on. While there is a "slightly used data storage room" with a lot of open space, camping spots and weapons from what looks like a "last stand" situation it mostly focuses on close combat.
    Enemies can easily teleport right in after you without you knowing it, forcing you to constantly be watching yourself and hoping that there is another lost teammate on the otherside of that Tele.

    Humans
    The humans are fairly average stats with nothing super special going on.
    They can pick up any weapons, and start with only a magnum (more weapons at spawn area)

    Infected
    The infected are easily defeated, but move a notch or two faster than the humans.
    The original infected comes equiped with both a Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword.
    All other zombies spawn with just an Energy sword.
    All Zombies have a "bad" active camo activated to help them blend in.
    (They blend in..very well...)


    Update Status: Not updating for quite a while.
    -Note to remodel ground level (thanks to redpox28 for indirectly reminding me to place that here)
    -Add more hallways

    This looks half decent. I would spend more time on the top section, as it seems sloppily done. The section in the crypt looks pretty good though. It could use more pictures with different angles
    .

    Im not trying to down you but this has been done before. Also, the map it self looks a little sloppy. Do you know how to merge and interlock? if not check out the forging 101 section in the forums. It will make your maps more attractive looking and more fun to play. good job though!

    Well of course its been done before..
    Why is that a negative factor? When it gets to the point you can slap that on anything that people throw out there, it becomes a neutral factor, not a negative one.

    Also as a side note: I merely put the ground level shot as a formality. It is the worst part done (which needs remodeling at some point). Although considering no one should spend more than 40 seconds at a maximum up there, the look of that does not cause too much trouble. (Hence the only reason I didn't remodel it at the moment)

    This looks cool I think you should make a v2 though with a little bit more time put in to it.

    This looks decent and dude Im actually Creating the Hive on sandbox now. Its going to be a replica from Resident evil Outbreak but so far i just got betas going. But nice map ill try it sometime. =)

    That's the plan.
    -See how people like the basis of it.
    -Change things as I see fit based off feedback/personal opinion.
    -Add more all around.

    But..I'm really not planning to do so for a little while..

    the top looks sloppy i would make a v2 merging objects together or something
