Map Title: The Kitchen SLOGAN/SHORT DESCRIPTION Download Map Download Gametype ******BIG CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE DOWNLOAD NEW VERSION TO SEE!****** Description: Welcome to The Kichen. Created by gOt skillz and xKing Elijahx, this map features re-created appliances and structures that ultimately make the player feel only a couple inches tall. The map is complete with a fridge (blue base) and a pantry (red base) that sit in opposite corners. Along the walls you will find a sink with running water, compliments of the grav lifts. Beside that is a complete stove, with glass door, and dials on top. Along the opposite wall sits the table, with cereal boxes both on top and below. Shelving placed along the walls makes this map playable from all heights and angles. The open space in the middle sets up great team battle, espeacially with flag. While the appliances act as the main focus of the fire support. My personal favorite map, we play it every day. Along with others who have downloaded and have said they loved it. This map was created to be an open map, relying more on teamwork rather than a hero player. The whole team must play as a unit when traveling across the kitchen to the opposing base. Player placement on different levels combined with limited cover, make for intense, concentrated attacks which usually take place on and in individual appliances. The map is Currently under construction and renovation in hopes of ultimately creating more cover and respawn points. We are at the OBJECT LIMIT, so choosing what to sacrifice in order to make a new, is tough, not to mention heart-breaking. Though modest, and always said with kind words, the only complaints we have gotten have been not enough cover. So we are working hard to address the small, but respectable flaw in the map. Nice. Sure, original ideas are nice, but without these ideas, we would have never had some of the better maps today. Someone comes up with the idea, someone else makes it better. That's the way it goes. Altough this map looks pretty good now. Great job.
HUGE changes have been made, sorry the pics are old. I WILL put up the new ones tonight. The map is *officially* done. Though I woul like to see different versions of this map, I obviously would like to keep the credit for making the first version. As juvenile as it sounds, we worked very hard keeping the forging a secret so not taking credit would be insanity. Thank you for all the comments though! this map is really sweet, i give it a 4/5. I really like it because it reminds me of a half-life map were u are really small and in a bathroom. But i really like your idea especially if you havent ever played half-life
1st: lolwut? 2nd: Nice Idea, you actually pulled it off very well... I haven't seen a kitchen made before, ever. Very original and its actually pretty balanced. I'd say it's probably casual worthy. It's a little open, but usually casual maps aren't too close quarters themselves.
