Bakalakadaka Street Download Here: Halo 3 File Repost from MLG because of Comments Saying that it doesn't really fit in there, I tend to disagree, but the masses have spoken. Hey guys, fourth map posting on Forgehub. Created by de AiRiK, zgriffin22, rmc97. Gametypes: Set up for Slayer and MLG Team Slayer, King of the Hill, Oddball only. Would be perfect for One Bomb Assault but for some reason could not get it to work. Description: An urban COD4 style layout map that is asymmetrical. Attackers spawn outside the city while defenders spawn spread throughout the map. The map aesthetics are set up to reflect a middle-eastern town with a temple in the middle and village surrounding. There are a number of sniper towers but only two snipers that spawn down low. The drop to the crypt is open but with a killball floated beneath. Allows for smooth gameplay but also set for jumping around to get to extra areas. Sharp corners and open sprints with very few weapons make for perfect MLG gameplay. Weapons: BR x 12 Snipers x 2 Carbines x 2 Rockets x 1 Maulers x 1 Frags x 6 Stickies x 10 Download Now! Let us know what you think, and any other suggestions you might have! i like the name, the merging is good, there are good high places and low areas. I'll give it a 4/5. I'll reply again after i download it. i think that it is very well made map but the many building and corridors make it tedious to get certain weapons or just get to a place in the map. also the hole to the crypt can be annoying as you can accidentally fall in whilst trying to kill some one and not paying attention. 4/5 for merging and build quality 3/5 for game play (because of the time it takes to get places and weapons)
I see you took the advice of those in the MLG forum. This is where this map belongs. As for the map, it looks AWESOME!! It looks infinitely better than the original layout. 5/5
The map looks sould in terms of gameplay, but the name of it really doesn't appeal, mabie some interlocking on the bridges too. 4/5.
Does the name refer to what I think it refers to? I just had to ask this, but I haven't played the map so I can't give you any suggestions. BTW: I am not doing this for my post count or something, I was just curious.
looks like a nice big old map! great job, and this couldve been mlg in my opinion, but oh well...the map has a lot of cover whick is good but it seems like too much on a single map unless you suggest like 6v6 or 8v8.. and what are you talking about?...bakalakadaka?
Thanks for the comments guys, we left the hole open just for that exact reason lol. And as for the name... watch Team America if you haven't already, and if you have, watch it again.
"Bak. Dirk dirka la. Shirpa shirpa shirpa shirpa. Muhammed Jihad." -Gary, Team America. Lmao at the name. As for the map itself I think it looks okay, but it seems too run-of-the mill. A lot of parts of the map could be smoothed out and with interlocking, for example the wood bridge (small)s in the 5th picture and the roof of the closest center structure in the layout picture. It makes it look nicer and play better, and I see you have interlocked in this map, so the lack of it in other pretty significant parts kind of shows laziness (not trying to be offensive, just saying that's what it makes people think). For your next work, I would suggest to try to make your architecture more organic and less boxy. Make it like it would be in real life because that's what draws people in. Try to be as clean and detailed as a real-life architect. I won't give this map a download, but good luck in the future because for some reason I see potential from what you've posted. Make me DL your next one. EDIT: Oh yeah, and in case you're not familiar, use the Forging 101 section of the FH forums to help you with your map creation. I'll drop a link just in case. http://www.forgehub.com/forum/forging-101/
Hey guys, I helped design this map and i understand how have a smooth map helps with nice fluid gameplay, but part of the idea we were going for was to make this map look and feel like a middle eastern village or slum. A lot of the stuff that isn't merged or interlocked is that way because we wanted to reflect the makeshift housing situations that would present in a situation like that. I understand what you mean though and in other maps I'd say we do a pretty nice job of making sure everything is smoothed out clean. Thanks for all of the comment though. Keep them coming!
I like the name. This map looks like it has a lot of potential. I really like the urban feel you went for. You got it right. It looks like there are good paths on it. There also is good connectivity throughout the map. I can't say much else than it looks fun because I have not played it yet. I am actually going to download this.
is the building with the red light supposed to be a church or something? anyways, good forging, it looks a little sloppy here and there but overall good job. 4/5
hey guys, two new maps coming soon based off the feedback we got on here...any other suggestions shout em out!
Wow.... love the name. I made myself laugh when I tried to puncuate it 1st time. This map's buildings all look very interesting. From the pictures I can see a church and a bunch of other interesting structures. I will definatly have to DL and take it for a spin.
hey guys just figured I'd let everyone know that if you havent noticed yet there's a new map based off of this one called Derkaderkastan. It's gotten quite a few good comments and downloads. So if you liked this one give Derkaderkastan a shot. Also. If you like minigames, there's St. Peters based off the church in the middle. It has a special gametype made to go with it that is based of one sided VIP. Go give it a look. If it seems like your cup-o-tea, give it a DL.
