    Back Story
    A Wishing Well is a term from European folklore to describe Wells where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the idea that water housed deities or had been placed there as a gift from the gods, since water was a source of life and often a scarce commodity. People believe that the guardians or dwellers of the well would grant them their wish if they paid a price. After uttering the wish, one would generally drop coins in the well. That wish would then be granted by the guardian or dweller, based upon how the coin would land at the bottom of the well.
    The same is true for this Wishing Well, provided you sacrificed something, be it an opponent or a fellow teammate. A safety barrier is in place now to keep things from being dropped into the Well which has long since dried up, but a grenade tossed just right will remove this safety barrier for 30 seconds allowing for sacrifices and wishes to be made before the barrier reactivates.

    Map Description
    I have been working on Wishing Well since I got the Mythic maps with HW: LE. Wishing Well has been created with 2 sided team games in mind. A game of 2v2 suits Wishing Well perfectly; however a game of 4v4 can be really intense. It supports most standard gametypes (Team Slayer, Capture the Flag [Multi & 1 Flag], K.O.T.H., Oddball, Assault [1 Bomb & Neutral] and FFA gametypes).

    Wishing Well is inspired by several maps that can be found in the Halo Universe. This map has certain elements that will feel familiar to Halo Vets. Wishing Well is a symmetrical map that consists of a Wishing Well that sits in the center of a grassy courtyard that splits the map. Several ramps and tubes lead away from the grassy courtyard. On each side of the Well there are openings that give you a great view of each side of the maps elbow catwalks.

    Both Red Side and Blue Side are identical but are not the mirror image of the other. Blue Side and Red Side can also be distinguished by the type of columns found on each side. Red Side has Red Columns and Large Columns (Orange with Hieroglyphics) while Blue Side has Blue Columns and the Large Stone Columns. Moving around the exterior areas of the map can take its time, but with well calculated jumps you can get around a lot quicker. Props to Skarrow ("Holy Grounds" map) for giving me the idea to use upside down Tin Cups for the courtyard. It makes the map look 100x better than what it used to with just Double Walls as the floor.

    I hope everyone who downloads this map enjoys it. Feel free to change it up in anyway you see fit. Just be careful what you delete as most of the objects that spawn on the main floor of Sandbox have been used in creating this map, and once deleted will only give you their money value not their object limit value.

    Wow, thats all I can say, is wow... this map looks absolutely amazing, the interlockz look awesome, the map layout looks epic. Bungie-esque. 5/5 from the pics... DL and a more detailed review later.

    EDIT:

    This map is a true masterpeice... at first I didn't read the description, (I usually do that after pictures unless the pictures are amazing, like theese) and I thought it was asymmetric, but this map being symmetrical makes it even more impressive... an absolute 5/5 feature this, NAO!

    Its not often that I am forced to comment on a map, but this is extremely impressive, A lot of effort must have gone into this map and it has definitely payed off. The best part is the design is flawless and there is so much potential movement. The majority of skybubble maps have areas interconnected with long walkways which prohibits a lot of the playmaking. I would gladly see this featured, good job

    this map looks really cool, i like how you added the grass with the tin cup flipped over, the rest of the map looks good too :)

    Wow, this map looks brilliant, I can tell without even playing it that it will most likely have decent gameplay, especially for team slayer. I'll definitley download this when I get the chance and play a few matches on it.

    I like this map allot, most (not all) sky-bubble maps are not worth my down load but you have made a great map here, with good playability. Here's what I would suggest: Put more cheater walls up.( wedges, pillars, etc.) along the sides so it's not as easy to fall off. That I think would provide you with a little bit better playability. I like the structure itself and the map layout is above average. I think this may be in my top 10 sky-bubble maps. Take a look at the last map Silence made, he no doubt is a good example of what I'm trying to tell you to do. But over all very nice job..4/5

    I love what you've accomplished aesthetically with this map. You've not only rendered solid flowing structures but varied lines of sight and elevation. Also the bridge is impressive and I'm sure it'll be seen in other maps. I've had the mythic maps since their release with Halo Wars CE but this is the first map out of the plethora I've seen and downloaded that I've felt compelled to comment on. I've run a forge through on it and love it and can't wait to hammer out some custom games on it.

    Good job on the map and hopefully it gets a ton of recognition.

    Wow this map looks amazing. 5/5 The inter locking looks very clean. I like how you used the upisde tin cups for the grass. Well done ill DL for sure

    After a fly through in Forge I decided the map still looked pretty good, it's definitley pretty smooth and has interesting levels of hight which makes the gameplay pretty interesting. I played a few FFA games on this to with some of my friends, they enjoyed it and I enjoyed it quite a lot to.

    We played FFA Slayer (With a couple of variations) and Ninjaball, and ninjaball was definitley good fun. I can also see this map looking pretty good for team games.

    I'm going to reccomend this for feature.

    Very interesting map, not the best map name though. What I like most about it is the layout design, it's perfect. I also wanted to make a map with the grass on the bottom of the tin cup but looks like you beat me to it.

    Thanks to all that gave this map praise. I am looking for your thoughts now since you have probably played a match on it or at least ran around it in forge checking every knook and crannie. Input on weapon and grenade placements or even inclusion. The issue of too many power weapons has been raised. Your thoughts?

    I had not heard of this song until you brought it up, but man is that guy talented. Amazing instrumentals.






    I like this input. However my question to you now is: Do I glitch the map for more money? Or what items can be removed from the map to allow me to add these barriers.

    Fair Enough. It definately doesn't sound like a place where battles are to take place. But I think it fits the design of the map. What would you call it?

    I gave it a play, and I must say it holds well as a competetive map for FFA Slayer. Didn't try Teams. Ah well.

    Quick suggestion:

    The grav-lift in bottom middle is not set to instant respawn. I think it should be. Message
    me if you're not sure how to.

    I really like the grav-lift placement BTW. You can easily nade the ramps leading down to
    bottom mid. It's also quite unique.

    In the desciption I explain that it is set to a 30 second respawn. I wanted it this way so there is some chance of danger when you are in a battle and try to use the lift and its not there. Sometimes I just go and shoot it out when I have a quiet moment in the middle. I will contemplate setting it to instant respawn for a v2.
