Tetra Junction. By: Canadians360 Hey Everyone this was my very first map I started to work on in sandbox called Tetra Junction. It was inspired by narrows but is still very different. The map features two bases with man cannons that launch to a T-shaped path that converges with a long hallway that separates the two bases. The map is created in the sky box and does have guard rails all around so no worries. This map has extremely intense CTF, assault, territory, slayer and even king of the hill gameplay. 4 vs 4 recommended. Now ON TO THE PICS A NICE OVER HEAD PIC A CLOSER LOOK AT THE CENTER The man cannons that get you to the bottom of the " T " A main base area Main base sniper+needler room Invisi/Over Tunnel Rockets Fussion coils and a plasma pistol Regenorator and BR on opposite sides of the obolisk BR + Bubble shield/Energy drain by man cannon Plasma Rifle you will never use The Sniper finn NOTE: There are some BR's and smg's/spikers not shown that are in the bases Please download and rate, but mostly comment feedback is important to me all input is welcome. I see a problem with this map, it would be terrible for objective games. Yes I know theres two ways to get to the middle, but theres only one way out of the middle. Crazy choke point.
That is why it is more intense and teem work is needed your teem needs to coordinate and multi task. If the entire team rushes someone could mancannon around and take the flag before anyone notices. If I get more feed back like yours I could create a wall floor around the front of each base but the map tested great for CTF and assault OK I'll start brainstorming a way out of the middle for a V2
Looks pretty good, not the straightest map ever but, I can see your ideas are very bright. Looks to be slayer based only though because, if I have to repeat what stouf said, it may not be the best for objectives. You should try a V2 with more than 1 way out of the middle.
looks like an amazing map, good gameplay, nice forging, in total, awesome. Only problem is the fact that there is only one way out of the "T". But like you said teamwork does come into play here so that really isn't a flaw. Overall amazing map, ***9.1/10***
the picture rockets fusion coils and plasma pistols is the same as invisi/ over tunnel, is that a mistake or are there rockets, fusion coils, and plasma pistols in the invisi/ over tunnel? you should also make a tower with a man cannon and turret on each side of the big gaps in the middle, so there's another way of getting across, but just like the main trail, its protected... kind of like narrows but with turrets... just a suggestion. 4/5
Not a big fan of turrets just not my style but to anyone reading I'm brainstorming Ideas for the middle thing It's just I got a pretty low budget aka $0 as it is but I'll try and think of something EDIT: Thnx for tellin me about the double post it's fixed now
I have two complaints of this map and one suggestion: The choke point makes playing CTF almost impossible, also, the map is a little bit too wide open. My suggestion would be to spawn Mongeese or a Ghost on the map.
Nice! You got it up. The Gameplay seems like it would be pretty solid, although, like people have already said, the "Choke Point" should be changed a little to positively impact gameplay. That, however, is the only thing I see wrong with this map. 8.5/10!
Thanx to everyone for the input Ive been looking at ways to fix the choke point one consideration is to make a path of walls around the front of each base or is everyone talking about ways out of the very center. I realy only have walls to work with and am still not exactly shure what to do.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated I am willing to make another version if I can get a good idea going. I'll be on VK saturday moaring so I could use some advice to think of ideas while I'm gone. Thnx for all the support.
This map would be a very good variant for VIP or Juggernaut because the teams would be relatively even, unless someone were to just camp in the middle. 4/5 because theres lots of open space :|
Hey you really put out maps quick. I saw some pics of your rough map and I gotta say you made some smart choices. I tried to get out of your map but you fixed the base walls realy well as many have said already there is a slight problem with the chokepoint but over all 9/10
You need to interlock more. The holes in the ground from the blocks will cause nades to rebound or fall through the map. Fix these and then find a way to get out of the middle easier than you have a 8/10
nice map. it kinda reminds me of narrows. but just like everyone else said, try to fix that middle area a little. 8/10
Very nice, good layout. Just by the looks i'd give it an easy 4/5. However, it does look a little empty in some areas.
It has a good concept behind it, but is a bit too open. In Objective getting away with the bomb/flag would be quite a task. However, some good forging in there, for Version 2 I would suggest more cover.
